Report: Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave Will Spend Thanksgiving Apart

Thanksgiving is about to look a little different this year for Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave. The two just announced their divorce earlier this month, and the word on the street is that they aren’t going to try to save face for the holiday. They won’t even be in the same state for Turkey Day, but don’t clutch your pearls! Teddi isn’t spending the holiday with her horse trainer either.

According to TMZ, sources close to the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars revealed that they will spend Thanksgiving apart for the first time in over a decade. The insiders said that Teddi plans on taking their three kids to Indiana to spend the holiday with her dad, John Mellencamp. Apparently, that’s become a holiday tradition, but Edwin got left off the invite list this year.

With that said, there’s no need to cry for Edwin. We know you’re picturing him sitting alone in front of a TV tray eating a microwaved Thanksgiving meal from the frozen section. However, he’ll reportedly be spending the holiday with his loved ones, including his eldest daughter whom he shares with his previous partner. He’s got people in his corner. They just aren’t the Mellencamps.

The Thanksgiving update comes just days after Teddi amended her divorce filing. Previously, she wanted sole physical and legal custody of their three kids: Slate, Cruz, and Dove. In her updated filing, she changed the custody request. She’s now only requesting joint custody of the kiddos.

With the joint custody agreement, Thanksgiving might also look a little different next year. Either way, the couple’s primary focus right now is doing what’s best for the kids. As long as they have a good holiday, that’s really all that matters.
