Dorit Kemsley isn’t holding anything back on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season. And anyone who’s against her better watch out. Dorit is simultaneously going through a separation in her marriage and a breakdown with her BFF Kyle Richards. Long story short, she’s activated and the season has only just begun.
Dorit and Kyle’s disagreements will only continue as RHOBH goes on. Dorit is done feeling like Kyle minimizes their friendship. Meanwhile, Kyle thinks that Dorit has done some cutting moves in the past. Regardless of who is right, it’s making for insane TV. During a recent episode of Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, Dorit continued to explain her side of the story.
Dorit Kemsley is done being second fiddle
In the podcast, Dorit went into more detail about what led to her falling out with Kyle. “I had a lot of things that I had not shared with Kyle, feelings that I had that I needed to get off my chest,” she said. “And the only way I was able to move past our differences or to move forward with her was to not only express how I felt, and really feel comfortable to do that, but also feel like it’s heard, it’s understood, and it’s appreciated, and it took a minute for that to happen.”
In general, Dorit was feeling pushed aside in her friendship with Kyle. “You know, there was a period of time [when] I felt … outside of her inner circle,” Dorit added. “It felt like our relationship was strained, and it wasn’t my choice.” If Dorit wasn’t considered part of Kyle’s “inner circle” at their peak, then we’ve really strayed far from the plot.
She claimed she tried to give Kyle a lot of grace as she was going through a lot in her personal life, but it hit a breaking point. “I really believe that Kyle and I had a very close friendship,” she concluded. “It just felt like there’s no way for me to actually get the friendship that I thought we had, a true friendship, without being totally honest and open.” Well, it sounds like we’ll see more of Dorit’s openness and honesty on full display on RHOBH this season.
