90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6 has officially wrapped up. Season 6 was a great one, and arguably the best season of The Other Way. This season showcased the journey of six unique couples, with a variety of backgrounds. Two couples returned after being featured in previous seasons, whereas the other four made their 90 Day Fiancé debut on Season 6.

The Other Way is focused on Americans moving to foreign countries to start a new life with their partners. This differs from the other 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs, where the international partners typically move to the United States. While none of the six Americans made a permanent move abroad this season, it was still a great watch. Season 6 had many entertaining moments, including weddings, proposals, and intriguing family drama. While there were many memorable moments during Season 6, these three stand out as the best.

Sarper proposed to Shekinah during a sweet moment on The Other Way Season 6

Shekinah Garner and Sarper Guven were one of two returning couples this season. They first appeared on The Other Way Season 5, when Shekinah first decided to move to Turkey. Shekinah first met Sarper on a dating site while vacationing in Turkey and the pair instantly hit it off. During Season 5, Shekinah appeared to adjust relatively well to life in Turkey. However, the beginning of Season 6 revealed that Shekinah had to return to the US to work. Shekinah went back to Turkey shortly after but admitted that she hoped Sarper would consider moving to America. In fact, the couple even applied for the K1 visa.

After being back in Turkey for a little while, Sarper surprised Shekinah with a sweet moment. While it was implied that the couple would have to marry with the K1 visa, there hadn’t been an official proposal. One night, Sarper took Shekinah on a romantic boat ride on the river that borders both Europe and Asia. In a touching moment, Sarper officially asked Shekinah to be his bride. Sarper even arranged for a lit-up sign on the bridge above them to say “Marry me Shekinah”. Without any hesitation, Shekinah happily accepted. This was one of the moments that made Season 6 truly worth the watch.

James and Meitalia had a traditional Indonesian wedding ceremony during The Other Way Season 6

Another happy moment from Season 6 was the traditional Indonesian wedding of James Solis and Meitalia Tantri Solis. While James and Meitalia originally married in the US, the couple had a second wedding for Meitalia’s family in Indonesia. It wasn’t an easy season for this couple, who struggled to get on the same page. James tried to move to Indonesia for his wife but ultimately wasn’t able to adjust to life there. This led to Meitalia feeling betrayed by James, although she eventually decided to move back to the US with him.

The happiest moment for the couple this season, however, was their Indonesian wedding. It’s always interesting to see the different cultural traditions for marriage on 90 Day Fiancé. Indonesia isn’t a popular country in the show, so it was captivating to watch their unique customs. James and Meitalia’s ceremony included a Sintren, which is the traditional singer. There was also lots of dancing as well as magic. James and Meitalia had one of the most unique and beautiful weddings in 90 Day Fiancé history.

Joanne came clean to her family about her marriage to Sean on The Other Way Season 6

One of the most drama-free storylines this season belonged to Joanne DiGesu and her husband Sean. The couple connected online and later decided to meet in person in Sean’s home country of Ireland. After a few trips, Joanne and Sean eloped in secret. For two years, neither Joanne nor Sean told their families about their decision. During Season 6, Joanne traveled to Ireland with her two sons and best friends, in hopes of telling them the news with Sean by her side. Sean also planned to use the time to tell his daughter about the marriage.

After everyone had a chance to meet, Joanne and Sean spilled the beans to the group. To their surprise, everyone was shocked and not as happy as they had anticipated. With time, however, everyone came around and felt happy about the marriage. While this moment wasn’t as exciting as a proposal or wedding, it was a pivotal one this season. This was the one thing viewers really wanted to see from Joanne and Sean this season. In the end, things worked out, and Sean even joined Joanne in the US for the Tell All. It seems that Sean will now be moving to America, as opposed to Joanne going to Ireland.
