Believe it or not, Monique Samuels is still talking about her binder from The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5 reunion. Allegedly, Gizelle Bryant had a major meltdown that the editors left on the cutting room floor. According to Monique, it’s this type of careful editing that makes her never want to return to the show.

With Candiace Dillard Bassett out of the picture on RHOP, many fans have been asking Monique if she’d be willing to return. The answer is still no, and in a recent interview, she explained that she felt frustrated with production. Her exit from the show wasn’t solely based on the barnyard brawl with Candiace.
“They didn’t show half of what was done. To this day, I still recall certain things that happened that weren’t shown,” Monique shared in a recent interview.
In one instance, Monique said that the RHOP producers excluded a moment from the Season 5 reunion that showed Gizelle having a major reaction to her ex-husband Chris Samuels.
“There was one point after the binder, the biggest memory I have and the thing I hate they didn’t show with Gizelle. She was so upset, and she was so quiet after lunch,” Monique recalled.
“Like had nothing to say,” she continued. “Chris came out and pretty much read her. She lost it and pretty much blurted out, ‘F you‘ and they never showed it. She lost it!”
In Monique’s eyes, the producers favored Gizelle because they knew they could “control” her like a puppet. It left a bad taste in her mouth and since then, she’s turned down other projects from NBCUniversal.
“That pretty much summed up why I left,” Monique explained. “They were constantly protecting the people who shouldn’t have been protected, and they kept these protections for people without protecting my innocent children.”
