Welcome to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 4 recap. Last week, Kathy planned a girls’ trip, hoping to mend Kyle and Dorit’s friendship. Instead, their feud went up another notch.
Plus, Dorit dealt with the news that her hubby, PK Kemsley, rented an apartment without telling her first. Here’s what happened in RHOBH Season 14, Episode 4: “Twisted Sisterhood.”
What happened in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 4?
Dorit and Kyle continued to argue at dinner. And it was awkward. Finally, both ladies decided to move forward and try to save their friendship. Meanwhile, Sutton offered to support Dorit, while Garcelle and Kyle commiserated about their life changes. And Sutton performed a ritual to bind the group together as sisters and friends.
Arguments at a dinner table
Dorit and Kyle were still squabbling at the table. “For whatever reason, you treat me a certain way. There’s two sets of rules,” Dorit stated. She added that if she made “a little misstep, you punish.”
In a shocking move, Kyle admitted that she does punish people. However, Dorit isn’t just talking about the last few years. It is the way that Kyle has always treated Dorit. Then Dorit dragged us back to Kyle’s New York fashion show. As you may recall, Dorit made a joke about saving the show, and Kyle didn’t speak to her for six months.
Still, Dorit claimed that the joke was harmless, but Kyle insisted that she never made fun of Dorit’s businesses. Cue the flashback to 2019, when Dorit decorated the Capri room in Buca di Beppo. While Kyle professed to love the décor in person, she shaded it in her confessional.
While the rest of the RHOBH cast stared longingly at their plates, Dorit slammed Kyle as “a sh*tty friend.” However, Kyle was furious. “It’s two years since I lost my best friend and I’m going through a f*cking separation. Give me a f*cking break,” she stated. According to Dorit, she did give Kyle grace during that time.
Was that an apology?
One issue between Dorit and Kyle was the text message that Dorit shared with Erika before the Season 13 reunion. While Kyle was hurt that Erika read the text, she also stated that Erika didn’t do anything else to hurt her, unlike Dorit.
Jennifer was confused by the argument, but Bozoma wasn’t bothered. She knows that none of her co-stars are “direct.” Even though Boz will have to sift through layers to get the real story, she is ready for the challenge. And for her dinner.
Mercifully, Kyle apologized for her comments about Dorit “exaggerating” their friendship. She also said that she would work on her behavior. After Dorit apologized for the text message fiasco, Erika leaned over and gave Boz some solid advice. “Always keep your text messages. Don’t erase anything,” she said. Interesting advice from Erika, right?
Garcelle disses Dorit’s apologies on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Just as it seemed the squabbling was over, Kyle resurrected it when she clocked Dorit for not giving a genuine apology about the BravoCon game. It was a game asking Dorit to rate the Richards sisters.
As usual, Dorit claimed that she acknowledges when she does something wrong and apologizes. “No, I wouldn’t agree with that,” Garcelle chimed in. She added that Dorit doesn’t apologize.
“I’m not surprised that you agree with that. And, let’s be honest. I’m not your favorite person,” Dorit replied. “You’re very clear about that.”
Meanwhile, Erika held her head in her hands, while Sutton looked Heavenward, mouthing, “Oh, God.” Garcelle told Dorit, “Okay. Great. Then we’re on the same page.” Finally, Dorit excused herself to turn in for the night.
Erika is concerned about Dorit’s mental health
The next morning, Dorit knocked on Erika’s door. In her confessional, Erika stated, “I know she’s scared. She’s just not saying it.” It is a bit ironic that Dorit is turning to the person who predicted her marital split.
So, Erika tried to bring up her concerns. For right now, Dorit wants to be around people that she can trust and that make her feel good. Plus, she had no choice but to “put her foot down” with both Kyle and PK.
Meanwhile, Kathy, Jennifer, and Kyle were getting ready for the day. Jennifer confessed that she “was kind of enjoying it” when Kyle and Dorit were fighting. Then Kathy piped up and likened it to a tennis match. Those are big words from Kathy since Kyle saw her brushing her teeth with her eyeshadow brush.
Ahoy, Captain Theo!
The ladies headed to a yacht, and Sutton was smitten with Captain Theo. “I would most certainly let Captain Theo park his ship in my harbor,” she said in her confessional.
During lunch, Sutton asked Dorit and Kyle how they were feeling today. “I felt like I needed to get things off my chest because it was building. I’m angry, I’m frustrated, I’m hurt,” Dorit said to Kyle. “But, I love you. I don’t hate you.” Well, Dorit’s recent arguments certainly didn’t sound loving. In fact, Sutton and Garcelle likened the feud to divorce court.
“Well, I appreciate that a lot. A lot,” Kyle stated. Through her tears, she said that they were both dealing with so much, and they shouldn’t even have their issues on their plate. Dorit agreed, mentioning how odd it was that Mauricio Umansky and PK were closer than ever and supporting each other. She added, “You and I are as far apart as we’ve ever been.”
Both ladies apologized (again), and Dorit said in her confessional that she is “cautiously optimistic” that they can fix their friendship.
Kyle drops a bombshell on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Sutton told Dorit that she understood what she was going through and would be there for her. “I just want peace, Sutton,” Dorit said. Dorit also feels “vulnerable” and “lonely.”
Meanwhile, Garcelle and Kyle chatted about their lives. Garcelle is going through some changes. She knows who she is career-wise and as a mom. But what else does she want? Of course, Kyle totally understood. She expected to grow old with Mauricio. Now she is facing an uncertain future, and that scares her. I love it when Kyle is vulnerable and open.
Then she dropped a bombshell on Garcelle. Kyle shared that PK reaches out to her. Naturally, Garcelle was stunned. Maybe Kyle should have kept that in the vault for now.
As the ladies departed the yacht, Kathy asked Captain Theo to carry Sutton off the boat. He obliged as Sutton swooned. Then Dorit gave Sutton’s phone number to Theo. Call her, captain!
Sutton pours her heart into a sisterhood ritual
During the final dinner, Garcelle asked Dorit why she reposted a social media post from Teddi Mellencamp if they weren’t friends. At first, Dorit said that she was just reposting it because Teddi tagged her. And Dorit insisted that she is friends with Teddi, just not close friends. At the other end of the table, Erika whispered to Kyle about how that was not at all what Dorit said the night before.
After dinner, Sutton read an essay that she wrote about friendship, honesty, and sisterhood. She had a blue sash, and the ladies each put a hand in, and Sutton bound them together. “In truth, we are now sisters forever,” Sutton said.
Still, Erika had to be shady in her confessional. “I’m sorry. Are we in cheer camp? Are we in Brownie camp? Girl scout camp?” she asked.
The next morning, the ladies settled into a van to head to the airport. Sutton was adding some vodka to her orange juice and told the group that she didn’t sleep well. She called out Erika for whispering something to Kyle during the Teddi discussion. What happened to honesty?
Of course, Dorit said that it was all about Teddi. Even Garcelle couldn’t believe that Dorit was missing the point.
“It’s not about Teddi! Although Teddi will be thrilled,” Garcelle said in her confessional. In the end, Dorit and Sutton were yelling at each other, and Sutton accused Dorit of causing pure chaos.
