Madison LeCroy Reveals Husband Brett Randle’s Cancer Battle

Madison LeCroy’s first wedding anniversary with Brett Randle wasn’t anything she expected.

In Season 10, Episode 2 of Southern Charm, Madison shared that her husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in late 2023. They had only been married a year at the time.

Following surgery to remove the “three-centimeter nodule,” the cancer is gone. But now Brett is suffering from complications. “I feel like we can’t catch a f*cking break,” Madison said in a confessional.

In a follow-up scene, Brett made pancakes for Hudson, Madison’s son from her first marriage.

“How are you feeling?” she asked, noticing his cough. He responded that he was feeling “pretty good.”

She then asked how he felt when he swallowed, and Brett answered, “I have to go see a specialist for it. It’s like two stages … I’ve got to go see an ENT for it, and then probably have to do some type of therapy.”

He added that his throat felt like it had “a marble stuck” in it when he swallowed, but he assured his wife that he was “getting used to it.”

Getting emotional, Madison later described how hard Brett’s illness has been on both her and Hudson. “I told Hudson [that] Brett was sick, but I didn’t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone,” she said in a confessional. “I try not to let Hudson see me emotional because I have to be strong for my family.”

“Some days I just want to scream,” she admitted, confessing that “anything” can trigger her. One of the biggest triggers is people asking, “When are you having a child?”

“We were just kinda starting to plan [for a baby], but that’s on pause for now,” the hairdresser added.

Brett and Madison’s Mexican Wedding

After a legal courthouse wedding in Charleston, Madison and Brett hosted a beachside ceremony in November 2022 in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Protecting her husband-to-be’s wish for privacy, Madison decided not to include any of the Southern Charm cast (or filming crew) on her guest list.

The pair met in the spring of 2021 when Madison attended a friend’s bachelorette party in Scottsdale, Arizona. The California fire chief proposed on October 8, 2021.

Prior to meeting Brett, the Southern Charmer was rumored to have been involved with retired ball player Alex Rodriguez. Madison made headlines when she was blamed for A-Rod’s breakup with fiancée Jennifer Lopez. Though she denied anything physical ever happened between them, ironically Madison ran into Alex in New York City while shopping for her wedding dress.

Southern Charm airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
