Trigger Warning: This article contains discussion of domestic violence.
Disturbing details of Vanderpump Rules alum James Kennedy’s December 10 misdemeanor domestic violence arrest are beginning to come to light.
Arrest records say the unidentified woman – widely assumed to be James’ girlfriend, Ally Lewber – reported to police that her “boyfriend” picked her up and tossed her to the ground during an argument after he allegedly acted a fool at Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party.
Police report on James’ alleged domestic assault: “…boyfriend lifted her up and threw her to the ground”
According to Burbank Police records obtained by TMZ, a nearby witness called police to report a domestic incident at James and Ally’s house on Tuesday night. Though thankfully the unnamed woman involved did not appear to be injured, the report alleges that things did get physical.
The woman told police that her boyfriend picked her up and threw her to the ground. James was then arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery upon a spouse or co-habitant. He was released shortly after, posting the $20k bail.
In the aftermath of this concerning mess, James’ attorney Scott Leemon commented, “We understand that there were no injuries. He continued, “and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”
Neither James nor his attorney have commented on these most recent details.
Ally reportedly intends to stay with James and assured friends that she is safe.
Sadly, it seems that Ally’s recent comments on her and James relationship being “better than ever” in the wake of the mass VPR firing might have been premature.
