Trigger Warning: This article contains discussions of domestic violence.
Vanderpump Rules alum James Kennedy was arrested on December 10, 2024, for domestic violence. This incident occurred shortly after the announcement that Pump Rules was getting the reboot treatment. The show will feature an all-new cast of SURvers. So, the cast’s firing is probably not welcome news for James and his girlfriend of two years, Ally Lewber.
Ally Lewber tells friends that she is “not in danger with James”
Ally and James attended Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party before the alleged domestic violence incident. Reportedly, James caused some type of ruckus at the party. The couple went home together, and that is when a witness alleged that James was arguing with an unidentified woman. Then he reportedly grabbed the female. After his arrest, James posted his $20,000 bail. As of now, he is reportedly facing misdemeanor domestic violence charges.
However, Ally is standing by her man. Page Six confirmed that Ally was the alleged victim in this incident. An insider told Page Six, “Ally has been telling friends she’s doing OK. She’s definitely safe and not in danger with James.” Still, some of Ally’s friends were previously concerned about the DJ’s alleged temper.
Of course, James’ attorneys, Leonard Levine and Scott Leemon, issued a statement about their client’s arrest. “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James. We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that after careful review, the city attorney’s office will decide not to file formal charges,” the statement read.
Unfortunately, two of James’ ex-girlfriends have implied that he was allegedly violent with them. Kristen Doute, who dated James from 2014 until 2015, wrote “Finally” via Instagram on a report of his arrest.
Meanwhile, Rachel Leviss mentioned James’ behavior in her revenge porn lawsuit against Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix. In the court documents, Rachel stated that James was “prone to violent outbursts and grappling with long-standing substance abuse issues and emotional dysregulation.”
As for Ally? Right now, the astrologer is standing by her boyfriend.
Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
