Recent conflict on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been centered around varying degrees of perceived friendship. Dorit Kemsley was hurt after Kyle Richards suggested that they weren’t that close. She then transferred the feelings onto her connection with RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp.
It all started with Dorit’s comments during a cast dinner on Episode 4 of Season 14. The group was in Oceanside for a trip hosted by Kathy Hilton. She and Kyle started sharing their grievances.
When the latter RHOBH star pointed out that Dorit did not defend Teddi against a negative comment at BravoCon 2023, the mother-of-two responded by saying she and the accountability coach were not close enough for her to get involved.

“I’m not close with her,” Dorit stated. “Her and I are friends; we’re not close.”
Garcelle Beauvais wanted clarity on why Dorit would repost one of Teddi’s Instagram Stories if they weren’t close. The post was a promotion of Teddi’s father John Mellencamp concert.
“I didn’t say I wasn’t friends with her, I said I’m not that close to her,” Dorit reiterated.
Teddi responded the following day after the episode aired. She took to Instagram Stories to shade Dorit with a video of the two of them alongside Kyle on a trip to Mexico.
“Celebrating my birthday with my ‘not close friends’ in Mexico,” the accountability coach captioned the video.
Dorit got a chance to explain herself during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.
“I wouldn’t categorize Teddi and I as good friends,” she said. “I didn’t say that we weren’t friends. In fact, I didn’t even know up until that point that Teddi was mad at me — until Kyle told me that she was sour about me not defending her at BravoCon. I had no idea, so, that was a shock to me.”
It seems that this is Dorit’s season. She’s speaking up against Kyle finally, and taking on Sutton Stracke. As for this conflict, it’s far from resolved.
