Katy Perry, who dropped “1432” on December 20, announced the exciting surprise release news via social media. The songwriter’s Instagram post even had not-so-subtle hints of the new tracks on the deluxe version of “143.” Perry wrote in the caption, “I WOKE UP and wanted to give my KatyCats an early holiday gift.” She further continued, “To everyone who HAS A HEART, I wish you NO MORE TEARS FOR NEW YEAR’S.” Perry added, “I’m always gonna be around no matter if you’re up or down. 1432 is here OK!”
As seen in the caption, Perry highlighted the titles of the four new tracks — “I Woke Up,” “Has A Heart,” “No Tears For New Year’s,” and “OK” — that are part of “1432.” Meanwhile, the pop star unveiled another dreamy visual for the announcement. The photo clip shows Perry dressed in a futuristic outfit while she comes out of a portal. The musician’s ensemble consists of a clear top and matching clear drape-around skirt. Meanwhile, a gorgeous butterfly, which is part of the concept of her 2024 releases, also graces the visual.
Earlier, Katy Perry teased the deluxe version release via a post on X (formerly Twitter). She tweeted, “The metamorphosis is complete 1432,” followed by a butterfly emoji. Besides the new release, Perry has also been capturing fans’ attention with her recent performances for the Jingle Ball 2024 shows.
