Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz have not been having an easy 2024, to put it lightly. The two bar stars not only lost their spots on Vanderpump Rules alongside the rest of the cast, but they’re also losing Schwartz & Sandy’s.
We watched their long (and expensive) journey to opening the duo’s second bar right before Scandoval hit the fan. Honestly, it felt like a bad omen for the spot, and it turns out, that feeling was warranted.
Recently, the Toms announced Schwartz & Sandy’s would permanently close by the end of the year. Whether or not the news was shocking to fans, it was a tough blow for the Toms. Now, we know exactly when the bar will serve its last round of half-shots and lobster corndogs.
Schwartz & Sandy’s bids farewell
On Instagram, Schwartz recently posted a story that revealed the exact last day that Schwartz & Sandy’s will be open for business. “[Three] scoops and [three] days left to come celebrate our funky little fever dream of a bar,” he wrote on December 18, according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. That means that Saturday, December 21 will be the bar’s last day in business, so it won’t survive into 2025. Again, not shocking, but it’s definitely newsworthy.
In a separate Instagram Story, Schwartz thanked the fans for supporting he and Tom’s second bar during its short run in the Los Angeles dining scene. “Wanted to say thanks again for the outpouring of [love] at the homestretch here,” the post read.
So pour one out for Schwartz & Sandy’s this weekend. It was a wild ride for the bar, that’s for sure.
