Well, it looks like the rumors about an impending Bravo break-up were true. Southern Charm star Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo of Summer House have called it quits. And I am in my feels because I was rooting for this duo.
Summer House star Paige DeSorbo announced her split from Southern Charmer Craig Conover
The couple started dating in 2021, pursuing their long-distance romance. Now, Paige has shared that they have ended their relationship. Paige dropped the bomb on her podcast, Giggly Squad, which Hannah Berner co-hosts.
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together. I love him, I think he loves me,” Paige stated. “I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.” She continued, “I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.”
However, Paige noted that the entire situation felt “weird” and “awkward.” She also shared that her romance with Craig was “very transformative” and that she has changed “a lot.”
Paige stated, “I have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan for him and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best, because he is the best.” She added, “But, with that said, I think it is the right decision for both of us.”
She also addressed speculation that the couple actually broke up months ago, and waited until their reality shows hit the air to pump up ratings. “No one can tell me what to do. The network (Bravo) has power, but they don’t have that much power,” Paige stated. “So, that was not a real thing. Rumors of us breaking up months ago again, also, not a real thing.” However, Paige didn’t clarify when the duo broke up.
“He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had, like, I can truly say that. He was a great boyfriend, and he did everything correct, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that,” Paige said.
So far, Craig has yet to address their split.
Southern Charm returns on January 2, 2025, at 8/7c on Bravo, while Summer House Season 9 premieres on Wednesday, February 12, at 9/8c on Bravo.
