Report: Vanderpump Rules’ Fired Cast’s ‘Claws Are Out’ Competing for Spinoff

The retired Vanderpump Rules cast are vying for positions in the Bravo sphere. After producers announced an entire recasting of VPR, the question of what would happen to the veteran cast remained.

Some have branched off into other dealings. Scheana Shay, for example, has a very successful podcast. And Lala Kent is an entrepreneur in her own right. Ariana Madix also has had tremendous success after her cheating ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval was exposed. But the issue of relevancy remains.

For the fired Vanderpump Rules cast, “fading into obscurity” is not an option

A source exclusively told Life & Style “It’s not just about money.”

“This has been their bread and butter for over a decade. Sure, they all have their brand deals and other ways to bring in money right now, but without the show to keep them relevant, there’s only so long that they’ll be able to keep charging the rates they do,” the insider said.

There have been rumors of different spinoffs. Ariana and Katie Maloney could film in their sandwich shop. And while Schwartz & Sandy’s is closing, TomTom is still open for business.

“They’re all addicted to the fame and attention. The thought of fading into obscurity is horrifying,” the insider stated. “Scheana and Lala have already been dropping hints about getting their own spinoff. There are talks about Katie and Ariana getting a show about their sandwich shop and Tom and Tom are desperate to get their own show too.”

Of course, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright already scored The Valley. They were axed from VPR in December 2020 and had time to plan a strategy. Scheana, Lala, and Tom Schwartz all filmed for Season 2. Will their former costars follow suit? Or is the spinoff market filled already?

The insider noted that the former couple “are starting to look like they’re ahead of the game since they opted to bail out years ago and ended up with their own show [The Valley].”

“No doubt Bravo will give some other cast members a chance for a spinoff, but odds are they won’t all get a shot, so the claws are out big time,” the source concludes.
