Does Meri Brown have a new man in her life?
The Sister Wives star left her ex, Kody Brown, about two years ago. But on December 28, Meri posted a photo on Instagram of the “mystery man” she reportedly spent the holidays with. The man’s name is Brandon Stone, and the picture shows the two of them smiling with their arms around each other.
“It’s a Christmas miracle!” Meri captioned the photo, adding the hashtag, “Life Is Good.”
Meri Brown was working on herself during her time alone, but now she seems to have a new man
Only days after telling People that she’s “dating non-exclusively,” Meri’s exuberant post landed on her Instagram. Previously she dated a man named Amos starting in October 2023, but they announced the end of their relationship in February 2024.
“He just wasn’t my person,” Meri explained. “We dated exclusively for a few months, and he just wasn’t my person.”
“You date non-exclusively, and then you’re like, ‘Okay, I can focus on this person. ‘Let’s be exclusive,'” she went on. “See if it works into something. That one just didn’t. So we broke that off, and now I’m dating non-exclusively.”
The owner of Lizzie’s Heritage Inn moved back to Utah after her split from Kody. Dating options in the small town of Parowan are apparently limited, so most folks rely on dating sites to meet someone. However, Meri also admits to meeting “a couple of people through people.”
But rather than focusing on finding a new partner, Meri has been using her time alone to work on herself. “I’m learning about myself … learning about other people,” she said.
“I’m learning to trust myself and be like, ‘Hmm, I’m getting a funny vibe. This person’s just not for me,’ ” she confessed. “Even if … nothing’s wrong with a person, [sometimes they’re] just not for me.”
Moving on from polygamy
Viewers followed the disintegration of Meri and Kody’s relationship over the years. Things seemed to go south when they legally divorced in 2014 in order for Kody to legally marry fourth wife Robyn Brown. This enabled Kody to adopt Robyn’s three children from her first marriage, but Meri felt abandoned and lonely afterwards.
She got involved in a messy catfishing situation, which estranged her from the rest of the family for years. Only Robyn tried to remain a friend, but even that relationship wasn’t enough to keep Meri around. She finally realized that Kody would never love her again–if he ever loved her to begin with–and finally made the decision to leave.
Kody and Meri agreed to separate in January 2023. Shortly afterward, she requested an official termination of their spiritual marriage through their Mormon fundamentalist church, the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB).
