Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules spelled the demise of several friendships. When Ariana Madix refused to film with her ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, a few people called her out. Perhaps the loudest voice belonged to Lala Kent. And when Lala went after Ariana, her former friend Katie Maloney took Ariana’s side. So, is there a chance for a reconciliation between Katie and Lala? Spoiler alert: It doesn’t sound hopeful.

In an interesting tidbit of news, Katie announced that she formerly quit Pump Rules before the reboot was announced. So, a reconciliation between Lala and Katie wouldn’t have happened because they were working together.
Plus, Katie was upset with Lala’s comments about Ariana during the Season 11 finale and reunion. “I felt like, obviously, she had been harboring certain feelings and thinking certain things that I didn’t know that she had felt, and so she was saving them for the reunion,” Katie said of Lala, “which I didn’t feel like was super authentic. I was just grossed out.”
When Lala was recently a guest on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, she discussed the end of her friendship with Katie. First off, Lala explained that Katie had been “everything” to her. That is until they began filming Season 11 in a post-Scandoval universe.
“It was the strangest season that I’ve ever been a part of,” Lala explained. “It was all very sad. And Katie and I have two very different viewpoints on what happened and the demise of our friendship.”
Lala continued, “She sees it one way, and I don’t like that I was painted to be someone who pockets information and brings it out at a convenient time. Because that’s not what happened.”

However, it sounds like now Lala is content to leave her friendship with Katie in her rearview. “We can go over this all the live long day. It doesn’t matter. What’s done is done. We may be able to rebuild at some point or we may never see each other again,” Lala stated. “Who the f*ck knows, right? But I do want her to be happy in her life. She deserves that.”
Plus, Lala confirmed that she and Katie hadn’t spoken since the Season 11 reunion. Welp, that sounds like a wrap on this friendship.
