Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards are still wading through their separation. As seen on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Mauricio has already moved out of their marital home following 27 years of marriage. A relationship this long likely saw several factors arising that contributed to its demise. But, amongst these 99 problems, Bravo is not one, but it easily could be for others, Mauricio suggests.
Bravo can be hard on a marriage, admits Mauricio Umansky
Mauricio has been a star on Bravo since his first appearance on RHOBH in 2010. During his time filming with this network, Mauricio has raised several eyebrows. For one, he is hot AF. But for another, he has laughed at inopportune times while brushing off multiple affair-styled narratives spread by the press, showing that with fame, steep privacy-related prices often emerge.
Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast recently interviewed Mauricio, who revealed that many divorces transpired during his 14 years of filming. Mauricio also stated that some of his fellow Bravolebrities likely did not realize how fragile their marriages were until they got captured on camera for the entire world to see (and judge).
Mauricio explained that the “Couples [who] watch each other end up reflecting. And they see what their real relationship is like.” But before the cameras entered their lives, these non-stars went “to bed with a perception of their relationship” that was not accurate. [But] “once they watch [themselves on Bravo], they get confronted [with the truth], and then [they can] reflect and see it from a different point of view,” he further stressed.
“Once you become conscious of that, it becomes part of the reality,” Mauricio noted. He then cleared Bravo from his own failed (for now) marriage. “I can tell you that my perspective is not what happened” in his marriage to Kyle. Instead, “I think we had an amazing [marriage], and we survived this thing,” he ended.
We hear you, Mauricio. The Bravo marriage curse is real. But now, we hope Mauricio and Kyle can softly land where they next best fit.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns Tuesday, January 7 at 8/7c on Bravo.
