Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky Says She Was Made to ‘Feel Stupid’ by Ellen DeGeneres

Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky handed out roses all the way back in 2010. However, she has been harboring some feelings about her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Spoiler alert: she does not have fond memories of her conversation with host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres.

Ali Fedotowsky claims that Ellen DeGeneres “made me feel pretty not great”

Ali previously spoke out about involving the lead in the casting process for Bachelor franchises. Now that is a solid idea! Plus, Ali signed on for Season 3 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. And she had another Bachelorette, Trista Sutter, to lean on during that grueling experience.

Recently, Ali was a guest on the Off the Vine podcast, hosted by Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe. And Ali shared her experience with Ellen. First, Ali noted that she was “so excited” to appear on the show and that she doesn’t believe that Ellen is “a bad person.” Ali stated, “She made me feel pretty not great. It’s not that she was mean, per se, she just made me feel stupid.” She added, “Instead of her laughing with me, she was laughing at me. I just felt really stupid.”

Ali continued, “I just think that sometimes when you do a job like that all day, every single day for years, you’re just kinda over it. And she’s talking to people who are crafted and then here’s this 24-year-old famous-for-no-reason comes on her show and she’s like, ‘I gotta talk to one of these idiots again?’”

Kaitlyn was already one of Ellen’s biggest fans, but that allegedly changed. The podcast host stated, “I think it would have been really disappointing for me and now I dislike her because of everything I heard from very reliable sources […] I don’t get treating people like sh*t but I get being over it and I always said that if I went on The Bachelorette for one reason, it was so I could meet Ellen DeGeneres,” Kaitlyn added. I thought it was to find true love. Weird!

According to Page Six, several celebrities supposedly confirmed the 2020 allegations of a toxic environment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The show ended in May 2022.
