Once more with feeling! Heidi Klum is returning to Project Runway after being away from the franchise for seven years. And it feels like all is right in the world again.
Heidi originally hosted the show from 2004-2017 and she made quite a name for herself doing it. She was an excellent host, had a great rapport with the designers and judges, and made the show a whole lot of fun. She was even awarded a 2013 Emmy Award for her role which she shared with co-host and friend Tim Gunn.
Now, she’s making a comeback. Here’s what we know…

The news came from PEOPLE. Heidi received an impressive nine nominations times during her time with Project Runway. Plus, the show itself earned dozens of award nominations overall.
The show has evolved over the years. It was originally launched on Bravo. It then moved to Lifetime, and then back to Bravo.
Project Runway has welcomed a number of talented designers. Heidi helped nurture and inspire them as well as sending eliminated designers off with her signature “auf Wiedersehen.”
And it wasn’t just her charm and charisma Heidi brought to the show. She also brought her gorgeous style to the show every week as she dressed to impress in each episode. Heidi and Tim bid goodbye to the show in 2017.
Over the years, the show has had several iterations like All Stars and Project Runway: Junior. Some popular contestants from the past include the highly successful Christian Siriano on Season 4, Gunnar Deatherage who has designed for stars like Chappell Roan, and Irina Shabayeva.
Now, Project Runway has found a new home on Freeform, Disney+, and Hulu. And with Heidi back, it’s going to feel both nostalgic and new at the same time. Debuting in 2025, the new season of Project Runway will feature 10 episodes airing weekly. The judges and the premiere date have yet to be announced.
