After a hiatus for the holiday season, Married to Medicine returned with a brand-new episode, but unfortunately, they were still arguing about the same nonsense.

The last time we saw the ladies, they were deep into their glamping trip and even deeper into a mess of drama. Although Dr. Contessa planned this trip to find peace in the group, she was ready to square up with Dr. Heavenly at their latest dinner. Husbands, children, and mothers were mentioned before anyone could eat their meal. America’s favorite dentist was hollering for security, and poor Dr. Jackie took a tumble in the chaos.

Married to Medicine Season 11, Episode 6, “Rodeo Reckoning” picked up right where we left off as the ladies tried to recover from the explosive fight. This trip didn’t necessarily accomplish all of the ambitious goals they set from the start, but they did squash a major beef by the end of the trip. There’s hope after all!

During the final day of the glamping trip, the ladies tried to sort through the fight between Contessa and Heavenly. Somehow, Quad managed to squeeze in yet another Oscar-worthy monologue in an attempt to fix things with Simone. This time, it landed! Plus, Dr. Jackie started preparing for the Med Gala, and this year, she’s ready to take things to the next level. Keep on reading for all of the tea on this week’s episode.

Picking up the pieces

After the blowup with Contessa, Heavenly, and Jackie tried to flee the scene in a golf cart. This week, we saw that their golf cart wouldn’t actually start. It felt like one of those scenes in a horror movie where the killer is right around the corner, but the final girl’s car just refuses to start.

Meanwhile, Dr. Contessa went back to her wagon with her new besties, Sweet Tea and Toya. They tried to console her, but somehow, they all seemed to forget that Contessa egged this fight on just as much as Heavenly. Yes, Heavenly evoked Contessa’s mom, but Contessa was talking about Heavenly’s children. She also suggested that Dr. Damon has some other secret children running around out there. Come on, now!

According to Toya, Heavenly almost getting punched was bound to happen. She said it was like a “volcano waiting to erupt.” Either way, the whole situation left Contessa questioning her future with the group.

“This is what friendship looks like, and I’m the one who’s a problem? Then no, this ain’t the group for me,” Contessa said in her confessional.

Quad’s tearful plea

With Contessa out of the picture, Dr. Heavenly and Dr. Jackie realized they could safely return to the dinner table. Phaedra and Quad never left. There was still halibut to eat and more drama to discuss.

At the beginning of the ill-fated dinner, Quad told the ladies that their attempt to banish her from the group left her “bleeding out” That metaphor didn’t seem to land, so she made another attempt to bridge the gap.

“To come up against me the way that y’all did. It hurt me,” Quad told the ladies, referring to the Season 10 Napa trip. “I wanted to fix it, and I wasn’t given the opportunity because the decision had already been made.”

According to Quad, weeks went by and she never heard from any of her cast members. She said it took a physical toll on her, before bursting into tears. Meanwhile, we’re all watching this at home wondering how many more times we’re going to have to hear about this.

We finally made some progress when Simone and Quad addressed the real issue between them. It had less to do with Napa and everything to do with the comment about Quad’s niece that was made during the Season 10 reunion. Once that got on the table, we finally got some traction.

“I was wrong for saying that in New York,” Dr. Simone admitted to Quad. “I was wrong.”

With that in the air, Dr. Jackie suddenly turned into Pastor Jackie and started praying over the group. The ladies hugged it out while the worst music you’ve ever heard in your life played in the background. This is progress! Finally.

The morning after

After nearly squaring up at dinner, it’s hard to believe that there’s still another day of this god-forsaken glamping trip. Seriously, who knew a trip to some random ranch in Orlando, Florida could last this long?

The day started with Quad on the phone with her boyfriend of a year, whom no one knew about until a couple of episodes ago. She got him caught up on every detail of the trip, including every insult thrown and tear shed. After listening to all of that, she owes him a Rolls-Royce.

Meanwhile, Contessa was still going on about the situation with Heavenly. Remember, this whole trip was an idea from her, Phaedra, and Sweet Tea as a way to get the group together. At this point, Contessa conceded that it just wasn’t going to happen in Florida. This trip was a failure, and the baggage is coming back with them to Atlanta.

Are the husbands going through “manopause?”

While the ladies tried to survive the final day of the neverending glamping trip, we got another glimpse at what the husbands were up to in Atlanta. Thanks to Cecil, who seems to be the ringleader of the men’s group, some of the guys went riding ATVs.

Hilariously, Dr. Simone said in her confessional that all of these guy outings were the result of “manopause.” It very well could be manopause, but we appreciate the producers for taking this step to add another layer to Season 11’s storyline.

The last time the guys got together, Dr. Damon and Dr. Greg clashed over the beef between their wives. This week, Cecil tried to see if there was a path forward. Greg didn’t seem convinced.

At the same time, Dr. Eugene tried to do the same thing. He invited Dr. Damon over for bourbon and cigars, where they also addressed the elephant in the room. He felt like an intervention was necessary. Otherwise, he feared the drama would continue to linger throughout the men’s group.

“I think Gregory needs you to be the bigger man,” Eugene suggested. “Do you think maybe you two need to sit down at some point and talk?”

According to Damon, he didn’t need anyone to push this situation along. He’s not that kind of reality TV husband. However, if he can smooth things over with Greg, it might pave the way for Heavenly and Sweet Tea to do the same. Look at the big picture, Damon!

The ladies are back in the A

Fortunately, the trip to Orlando finally came to an end. The ladies made their way home to Atlanta, and immediately, Contessa ran to her husband to tell him about what happened between her and Heavenly. In her version of events, Heavenly attacked her late mother completely unprovoked. She said that their friendship was broken beyond repair.

Elsewhere in Atlanta, Dr. Jackie started the preparation for the second annual Med Gala. Last year, Quad shook things up by showing up uninvited. This year, Jackie wants it to be bigger and better than ever. Just like the Met Gala, she’s giving it a convoluted theme: “The Enchanted Garden of Mother Nature.”

For Dr. Jackie, the Med Gala is all about raising money for charity, and she invited Phaedra to be the co-chair. Her mission is to help make the party over the top, and according to Phaedra, she’s “known” for throwing over-the-top parties and raising money in fundraisers. For some reason, this feels like the first time we’re ever hearing her say those words, but we’ll take her word for it.

Dr. Jackie has high hopes for the Med Gala, but Phaedra’s are even higher. She said she wanted to raise $100,000! With that goal in mind, this is either going to be the event of the year or a major disaster. We can’t way to see what happens.

Married to Medicine continues on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
