Here’s How Dua Lipa’s First Sunday of 2025 Went

Dua Lipa is starting the new year a little later than others only because she was “too hungover to function.” The singer shared a glimpse of her calm 2025 beginning on Instagram Stories, spending her first Sunday of the year caring for her body and mind. Given that the singer has had a busy yet memorable journey the past year, she decided to take some downtime to unwind and start afresh.

Dua Lipa’s first Sunday of 2025 was all about relaxing

Dua Lipa took her sweet time to enter 2025. After partying hard the last few days of 2024, the singer switched back to her routine and focused on healing. She took to her Instagram Stories, giving fans a look into her relaxing first Sunday of the new year. The pop star marked January 5 as the first day of the new year with some calming rituals. She shared how this was originally how her January 1 was going to look like.

However, since Lipa was “too hungover to function,” the singer delayed her New Year rituals a bit. She started the day with some meditation before going for a run and doing a “juice cleanse.” The singer wore a comfy T-shirt layered with a jacket and paired it with orange-tinted glasses. She also showed off the juice bottle, giving it a little kiss before moving on to the next set of rituals.

In another story, Lipa showed how she ended her first official day of 2025. The clip saw her seemingly lying down on a bed in her robe amidst calm dim lighting. The songwriter revealed that she ended the Sunday with a sauna and an astrology reading. This was followed by drinking bone broth and reading George Saunders’ book “Pastoralia.”

Dua Lipa also seemed to have indulged in some self-care. She flaunted her freshly manicured black nails in the video, along with her bare face look. Although late, the singer ensured she began 2025 on a calm and positive note. Meanwhile, the recent Instagram update comes a few days after Dua Lipa danced her way into the New Year with close friends and Callum Turner.
