Everyone can agree that it’s best that Meri Brown and Kody Brown finally split. The relationship was quite toxic in the end. However, now Sister Wives star Christine Brown believes Robyn is the one who organized Kody and Meri’s split.
Christine shared on the show why she thinks Kody’s remaining wife is the one who originally planted the idea of Meri and Kody divorcing. Despite Meri saying that the decision to end their marriage legally was hers, Christine feels the idea was planted long ago.
Christine Brown thinks Robyn may have manipulated Meri and Kody into divorcing a long time ago
In an interview on the show, Christine recalls the exact moment she thought Robyn planted the idea of divorce.
“When Robyn first came into the family,” Christine recalled. “She started talking to us about these other families, where the first wife divorced the husband so he could marry the second wife legally and legally adopt the kids. And I remember thinking, yeah that’s a plant. And she mentioned this several times through the years like it was something she wanted.”
Of course, Robyn vehemently denies this. However, the fans aren’t too convinced considering her track record.
Meri and Kody were married in 1990. They had their official divorce in 2014 although she didn’t officially finally leave him until 2023.
While Kody has taken a mammoth’s share of the blame when things went south, the OG wives weren’t too fond of Robyn either. And things seemed to be on a steady decline after Kody brought her into the fold in 2010.
This isn’t to say the other women are guilt-free. Mykelti Brown and Paedon Brown have alleged that Meri used to physically and verbally abuse Kody and some of the children. Maybe they just bring out the toxicity in each other.
And maybe, in the end, all’s well that ends well for the wives. Kody’s former spouses are moving on and now he and Robyn have to discover if a monogamous relationship will work for them.
