Teddi Mellencamp shocked Bravo fans by announcing her separation from husband Edwin Arroyave on November 2. She spent the last two months of 2024 in damage control after it emerged that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum had a months-long affair with horse trainer Simon Schröeder.
But 2025 will be better for Teddi after calling it quits on her marriage. The accountability coach posted her musings for the new year. She took to her Instagram on January 1 to tell followers that she picked a word, and a mindset, for 2025.

Teddi shared a photo of herself seated in front of a podcast microphone. The Two T’s In A Pod co-host looked somber as she faced the camera.
“Every New Year, I pick a word to guide me. In 2025, my word is a mindset as well as an action: FORWARD,” she captioned the post. “Forward from my mistakes, forward to allowing myself to not be perfect, forward to celebrating all my failures, forward to celebrating all my successes. Forward from the judgment of others, forward to continue to love myself.”
Teddi concluded, “I’m looking forward to a year of potential, opportunity, growth, and peace. I hope you are too.”
The former Bravolebrity is known for sharing a full range of emotions with followers. Teddi keeps it real for her fan base, whether she is dealing with her ongoing battle with melanoma, or feeling major anxiety at 3 am. The RHOBH alum can certainly be credited for her authenticity.
In the weeks after the affair with her horse trainer surfaced, Teddi also posted about “taking accountability.” She included a video of herself in the middle of a grueling workout.
More recently, Teddi shared a photo of her children celebrating New Year’s Eve. She was with her former co-star Kyle Richards for Christmas. It’s all eyes towards the future now.
