Jamie Lee Curtis Gets Emotional Talking About Palisades Fire on Jimmy Fallon’s Show

Jamie Lee Curtis shared her emotional thoughts over the wildfire devastation across Los Angeles, California. The actor recently made a guest appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” There, she took a moment to talk about the catastrophic nature of the firestorms and the urgency of the heartbreaking situation. She further urged people to provide help in any way possible to those affected by the wildfire.

On January 9, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” posted a video on Instagram featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, where she expresses her heartfelt emotions over the devastating wildfires causing immense destruction in Los Angeles. The clip began with the actor explaining, “As you know, where I live is on fire right now. Literally, the entire city of the Pacific Palisades is burning.” She continued, “I flew here last night. I was on the plane, started getting texts, and it’s f—ing gnarly you guys.”

Lee Curtis then went on to discuss the gravity of the situation, saying, “It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California.” She further talked about how the wildfire had massively affected her community and the place she lives in. Curtis revealed, “The market I shop in, the schools my kids go to, friends – many, many, many, many, many friends now have lost their homes.” She added, “It’s a really awful situation.”

After that, Jamie Lee Curtis explained that she would be going home to be with her family and help her friends. She also took a moment to request people to help the ones who fell victim to the wildfire and shared resources to help. She urged, “If you know anybody on the West Coast or not, the American Red Cross, support them. They will come in and help people. Do anything you can.”

As reported by CNN, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has informed that at least five people have lost their lives in the wildfire. Moreover, the Palisades fire has affected more than 15,800 acres of land with zero containment.
