Eugene Levy Loses His $3.9m House To Devastating Palisades Fire

“Schitt Creek” star Eugene Levy is one among the many celebrities who have lost their homes in the Palisades Fire. The raging wildfires burnt his $3.9 million California home on Wednesday. The news comes a day after he spoke about the situation with the media while evacuating the neighborhood. Alongside Levy, several other celebrities have not only evacuated but have also shared devastating details about the destruction caused by the fire.

“Schitt Creek” actor and honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, Eugene Levy, lost his home due to the raging California wildfires on Wednesday. The Daily Mail shared pictures from the star’s now-destroyed home that has been reduced to rubble. While the actor hasn’t publicly opened up about the loss yet, he briefly spoke to the media while evacuating from the neighborhood amidst the fire. 

Levy, who found himself stuck in severe traffic at the time of evacuation, managed to speak on the phone to the Los Angeles Times about the stressful situation. The actor said, “The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.” 

According to Urban Splatter, Eugene Levy brought the house at $3.9 million in 2006. The two-story house comprised of nine rooms in total, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Moreover, it was spread over 2,081 square feet. The house was built in 1950 and has an attached garage and one parking space, among other amenities. 

Apart from Levy, several other celebrities have lost their homes in the Palisades Fire as well. Paris Hilton shared that her Malibu beach house was affected by the wildfires. Denise Crosby, Cary Elwes, Bill Crystal, and many others have also shared stories of losing their homes. 

The Palisades Fire has been wreaking havoc across several regions of Los Angeles. According to CNN‘s live report, this fire has spread at least 15,832 acres of land. Firefighters and first responders have been working tirelessly to contain the damage as much as possible, With wind speeds decreasing, helicopters have been able to get back in the air and drop water to contain the fires.
