Tom Hanks’ son Chet is left with ‘no words’ after Palisades fire devastation
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s son, Chet Hanks, took to his Instagram Story to express his heartbreak over the destruction caused by the Palisades fire. In one of the stories, he shared a screenshot of a photo update by Breaking 911 on X (formerly Twitter). It shows horrifying aerial drone footage of the rubble remains in Pacific Palisades. Meanwhile, Chet wrote in his Instagram Story, “No words…”
He then got emotional over the heartbreaking loss in his following Instagram Story. The actor wrote, “Tell the ones you love that you love them.” Chet continued to express that one “can’t take anything for granted,” including the people and the places. He heartbreakingly added, “Never thought the last time I drove thru my neighborhood would be the last time I ever laid eyes on it. Everything just memories now.”
According to CNN, the Palisades fire has burned more than 17,000 acres. It has affected numerous structures in Pacific Palisades and westward along the Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu. Besides the destruction, at least five people have been found dead. Moreover, the catastrophe continues as the windstorm is predicted to last for days. Reportedly, the fierce winds have been one of the factors in fueling the multiple wildfires across Los Angeles County.
Later, Tom Hanks’ son, Chet, shared another Instagram Story amid the Palisades fire horror. He wrote, “Hollywood in danger now and getting evacuated.” Chet added, “S–t is getting crazy,” and urged everyone to “stay safe.”
