Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon have always been two peas in a pod. During their time together on the Real Housewives of Potomac, fans watched them stir up the drama like it was their job. They didn’t discriminate when it came to who they picked on, including the Grand Dame herself, Karen Huger. Now, after Karen was found guilty of her DUI, the two are throwing shade, making sure to let everyone know they are not supporting Karen during her legal battle.
Karen Huger was found guilty
Back in March, Karen was charged with a DUI and DWI after negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons. During her two-day trial, the Grand Dame was found guilty of all charges except reckless driving. Karen has been proclaiming her innocence throughout the newest season of the Real Housewives of Potomac. She has mostly stayed mum about the ordeal, often telling her co-stars they can read about her case online.
Now that the verdict is in, Gizelle and Robyn are throwing some massive shade at their frenemy. During the newest episode of their podcast, Reasonably Shady, the duo ripped the bandaid off and came for the OG. The Bravolebs started by saying, “We would be we would be remiss if we did not discuss what the whole world has seen,” speaking about Karen’s bodycam footage. She noted, “It was a short movie. It was pretty much in black and white, the whole thing. And the movie went from a crash site to a police car to a police station.”
Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon were not surprised by the footage
The ladies quickly became catty as Robyn joked, “The movie’s entitled ‘Fix Your Wig.’ ‘Big on the run.’ ‘Wigalicious.’ ‘Where my wig go?’ ‘Where’s your forehead?” The former Real Housewives of Potomac star jabbed that Karen was “finally vindicated with a video.” But Gizelle piped up, asking, “Did you say finally vindicated? The vindication happened. Who is vindicated? The streets of Potomac or Karen? Who is vindicated?” Needless to say, I doubt Karen was amused by their antics. Even though Robyn has yet to watch the current season, she shared she has read a lot of fans’ comments.
“I was like… If this is being vindicated, I don’t wanna see what being guilty is,” she said as Gizelle added, “Well, you saw guilty. Actually, there was the mini-movie called ‘Where Your Wig At? You’re guilty as charged.” The ladies then played a soundbite of Karen’s bodycam footage where they both admitted the reality of Karen’s issues is “very sad.” Robyn then shocked fans by sharing, “I hate to say it though. I don’t think those that are familiar with that person were shocked by what we saw. I know what I saw and was like, yeah, that’s par for the course.”
The Green-Eyed Bandits had no sympathy for Karen Huger
Robyn and Gizelle went in hard on Karen. The move came as a bit of a surprise since the newest season is showing Gizelle and Karen really looking out for one another. Robyn told listeners, “I’m not shocked by the nonsense coming out of the mouth. I’m not shocked by the denials and the deflections and, you know, that apparently were happening from the jump. I’m not surprised.” As for Karen’s claims of vindication, the former housewife also wasn’t shocked by the hubris.
After the guilty verdict, Karen’s lawyer released a statement via People. He noted, “Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we, of course, respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case,” he stated. “We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time.” Karen will be sentenced on January 29th and may be on the chopping block at Bravo. It is safe to say neither Robyn nor Gizelle will be in attendance.
The Real Housewives of Potomac is available to stream on Peacock.
