Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 14. Last week, Mia’s number one sidekick, Jacqueline, came to her rescue when she figured out the whereabouts of Mia’s children. However, Mia’s story didn’t sit right with Ashley, who was exhausted from supporting her. And Gizelle wasn’t over Mia coming for her daughters. A rum tasting brought the group back together again, and Karen advised Mia she had some work to do to win her friends back over. So, did Mia listen to Karen? Here’s exactly what went down in RHOP Season 9, Episode 14: “Red, White and Smooch.”
What happened in Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 14?
The Panama trip concluded with some fireworks on the Fourth of July. Keiarna learned of some potential legal woes, and Stacey had the blues from her divorce. Ashley also caused some drama between Mia and Jacqueline when she snuck in a kiss. However, the trip ended on a high note with Mia and Gizelle making amends and Gizelle and Stacey’s friendship inching just a little bit closer. Wendy was happy she reunited the group. But would it stay that way when they returned to Potomac?
Mia gave Gizelle the on-camera apology she was looking for
Day three in Panama just so happened to fall on the fourth of July. Gizelle mused, “Wendy, you picked the wrong place on the map. We should be in the United States. We could have been in Hawaii.” Stacey wasn’t too happy either, but it was for other reasons.
She told the group she had met her husband on this day when she was traveling with her mom after her father passed away. Wendy assured her they would rally around her and even “Gizelle won’t push you away.” This led to a funny exchange of Stacey stroking Gizelle’s hair for comfort.
Mia then took Karen’s advice to heart and started her apology tour. And this time it was on camera. She told Gizelle that kids were off-limits and she was wrong for talking about her daughters. Gizelle accepted but still had her guard up.
She said in her confessional, “Listen, I’ve been in this group for awhile, and I know what a completely fractured group feels like. So, Mia, tread lightly, okay? Otherwise, you and I are done.” But Mia didn’t feel the cold shoulder and went in for a hug. Suddenly, Gizelle was sandwiched in between Mia and Stacey, squeezing her. Her worst nightmare had come true.
Keiarna finds out she’s being countersued for $7 million
Stacey wasn’t the only one having a bad day. Wendy dropped the bomb to Keiarna that Deborah was countersuing her for $71 million. Correction: $7 million. Keiarna wasn’t bothered, though. In her confessional she said, “Deborah’s countersuit is like what a fifth grader would do when they’re having a temper tantrum when things aren’t going their way.”
Gizelle heard her cue to stir the pot and asked how Ashley felt about the situation. Ashley said she wanted to support her. Keiarna seemed open to Ashley’s friendship, but it wasn’t too long ago Ashley made the gaffe asking about her scar. Gizelle then wondered how Greg felt. As predicted, not well. Keiarna said whenever she hangs out with the group, he says, “No fighting.”
Later on, Ashley and Gizelle stayed behind to talk about what happened. Ashley was embarrassed and wondered if her character judgment was off. Gizelle told her, “Everybody is an adult. You have to be responsible for your behavior.”
Ashley then spilled the tea that Keiarna had been hoping Greg was going to propose during their Paris trip. She wondered if she was responsible for that not happening because of Deborah’s fight with Keiarna. Gizelle encouraged her to talk it out, but that doesn’t seem like a conversation that would go over very well between the two of them.
Mia and Jacqueline spilled more tea about their sex lives
Wendy took the group out on a catamaran, and she was pleased with its size. It wasn’t the “tugboat” they went on during their trip to Lake Norman. She said, “Here in Panama, we do it big. Like this is what it’s supposed to be. It has cabins!” But Karen wasn’t a fan. She quipped, “I am not into boat life or water life. They put me on boats everywhere we go. I’m nauseous; I want off.”
Gizelle didn’t want to wait for Ashley to bring it up, so she asked Keiarna if the altercation with Deborah stopped Greg from proposing on their Paris trip. Keiarna confirmed that was not the case. If they hit the three-year mark, which is February 2025, and he still hasn’t proposed, she’s going to have some questions. You’ve got one month, Greg!
After some selfies on the bow, the conversation turned to Mia and Jacqueline’s sex life. Jacqueline claimed she didn’t want to talk about it, but then she kept talking about how they would watch each other.
In her confessional, Stacey said, “Why do we have to talk about them having sex and swapping partners? Can we talk about somebody else having sex?” Be careful what you wish for! The chatter then turned to Stacey, who wouldn’t spill the tea. She joked, “This is the most conversation about my ass in two years, so I’m appreciating it.”
Ashley sneaked in a smooch from Jacqueline
As the ladies got ready for dinner, Ashley decided to check in on Jacqueline. She wondered why she “hadn’t tried to get a little smooch” from her. Jacqueline admitted she was “afraid to make that move.” Well, Ashley wasn’t. She got Jacqueline to give her a kiss. Immediately, Jacqueline was worried about Mia’s reaction. Looks like she might get demoted to sidekick number two!
Ashley didn’t wait long to spill the tea. As soon as everyone sat down at dinner, she shared the news. A shocked Karen said in her confessional, “Ashley, go to the doctor. Get a shot!” Mia seemed the most offended when Ashley claimed Jacqueline said she was the better kisser. In her confessional, Mia joked, “I feel like I should have been privy to this before now. At least let me know you’re going to go off and be a ho.”
The next morning, Karen arrived late to breakfast but was promptly filled in on what she missed. Jamal was getting married, and Jacqueline called PP to tell him about her kissing escapades. Afterwards, Wendy asked Mia why she was going to Atlanta and not to her kids after what had happened with Gordon. Surprisingly, Ashley was in Mia’s corner and said to respect her decision. The drama was done for now as the group cheered to liberation and to Panama.
