Robert Cosby Jr. is doing nothing for his image right now, especially not with the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast and fans. It’s a shame, because everybody was rooting for him after he opened up about his addiction struggles during RHOSLC Season 5.
In 2023, Mary Cosby’s son found himself slapped with a DUI. Mary was forced to pick him up from the police station. During Season 5, viewers saw Robert share his substance abuse issues with his mother, which had her breaking down.
In December 2024, Mary shared a brief update on Robert post-rehab. “He’s doing good. He did go to rehab. He was there for 30 days and I was like, ‘No! Please stay longer!’ He’s like, ‘I want to stay longer.’” But Robert is home now, perhaps not with the greatest judgment.
Robert Cosby Jr. shares strange RHOSLC rant on his Instagram Story
On January 12, Robert took to his Instagram Story where he shared some rather upsetting words. He began with a black screen with white text: “Anyone asking about my sobriety it’s none of your f*cking business.”
Robert then posted a picture of his ceiling fan with the words: “I love my fans, but there’s a thing called personal space.” All fine and good up to that point. But then Robert wrote, “Btw all these sluts on rhwoslc are not people to look up to. Besides my lovely mother just cause they are ‘rich’ doesn’t mean they’re good people.”
While the Real Housewives arguably aren’t role models, they certainly are not “sluts.” No woman is, not in the derogatory sense of the word. If a woman wants to reclaim the word for themselves, by all means. But when used in a negative way, by men, the word is just a tool to denigrate women.
Robert posted one more black picture, writing, “They’re all FAKE!” Screenshots of Robert’s post were cataloged on r/BravoRealHousewives by u/Extreme-Physics1670. At the time of writing, Robert has said nothing about these posts.
