Spencer Pratt Asks Fans To Help Him Raise Money After Losing Home in California Fires

Reality TV and pop music fans are rallying around Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, offering a small glimmer of hope throughout a bleak situation.

Like many other Californians, The Hills stars revealed that they lost their home in the devastating wildfires. Spencer asked fans for her help raising money so that they could rebuild, and they’ve shown up for the reality TV legends in a major way.

Spencer and Heidi are trying to rebuild

Spencer’s call for help started on TikTok, where he and his wife have been documenting their experience with the fires. He asked his followers to watch one of his recent posts in hopes of monetizing it. As Us Weekly reported, his request wasn’t well-received.

“Some demonic monster just wrote on my IG and tagged me, ‘Of course Spencer’s gonna milk his burned down house for every dollar it’s worth.’ Duh. Duh. That’s right,” Spencer said in a subsequent video. “Let me figure out every dollar I can get.”

He continued “How do you people not have brains? Are you just the stupidest living creatures? Of course, I’m trying to get money to pay for my life with my family because our house and all of our possessions burned down.”

With that in mind, Spencer continued asking his followers for help. He and Heidi have been rumored to have a show with Hulu in the works. He told people to “spam” Hulu’s social media accounts to tell them to make a new docuseries following his family’s efforts to rebuild.

As much as we’d love to see them back on TV, his most influential request came when he asked fans to stream his wife’s album, Superficial. That’s when something really special started happening.

Heidi’s 15-year-old album tops the charts

For some people, Heidi’s Superficial album has long been a cult classic. From Fanatic to Blackout, there’s a valid reason that Heidi claimed Lady Gaga sabotaged her career. The album is legitimately good, and Heidi celebrated the 15th anniversary this month with a deluxe version. When Spencer asked TikTok to stream it, people listened. Now, the album is number one on the iTunes charts.

“Thank you so much to everyone. No. 1 on iTunes chart, oh my gosh,” Heidi wrote in an Instagram Story. “Thank you for the overwhelming love and support of my music and really rallying behind us in this devastating time and making it such a blessing.”

Not only is Heidi’s album topping the charts, but so is the titular song from the album. She’s gotten support from celebs like Paris Hilton, who also lost her home in the fire. Heidi can hardly wrap her head around the overwhelming support.

“Thank you for helping support us, helping build us back up, helping to encourage us, give us that hope and faith and excitement in such a dark, dark time,” Heidi continued on Instagram. “No. 1, ahhh! Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it. And it’s the 15th anniversary of Superficial. So, the timing is just crazy. It’s so crazy, thank you…”

If you’re interested, Heidi’s song is pretty much of a bop and can also be streamed on iTunes.
