Venita Aspen opened up about her personal life on this week’s episode of Southern Charm. The professional influencer isn’t always at the forefront of the drama on the show, though her connection to JT Thomas may change that in Season 10. But recently, a conversation with costar Ryan Albert allowed Venita to open up about her love life.
Venita started dating Manny Houston in Season 8. But after getting the role of a lifetime on Broadway, Manny committed to a new life in the Big Apple.
Venita Aspen admits that it all makes “sense” now
“Manny moved to New York for Broadway,” Venita told her cast mates at a party in Craig Conover’s backyard. “Oh baby, he’s not coming back.”
“I knew that he got the Broadway gig, I didn’t know that he’s not coming back though,” Ryan said. “How do you feel about that?”
Venita replied, “I’m here.” She decided to take things “one day at a time.”
A few weeks earlier, Venita and Manny filmed a conversation where they discussed the latter’s move to New York.
“You are moving to New York for the next four months, minimum,” Venita said.
Manny responded, “It’s probably going to be longer than that.”
Venita told People that she’s “not the happiest about” how her relationship with Manny ended.
“But life moves in funny ways and life moves the way that you don’t want it to sometimes,” she reasoned.
“Now it makes sense,” the influencer added. “And I think I’ll do that a lot of times this season, actually. I’ll look back and be like, ‘I understand why that happened that way,’ or, ‘Okay, this tracks.’”
Venita is able to look back on her breakup with clearer acceptance. And she has clarity on how things turned out for the better. The Southern Charm star also learned to be more open with viewers.
“It’s nice to be able to have that mindset now and be more open with the audience when it comes to sharing things. I’m just like, ‘Hey, listen, this is real life,’” she concluded.
