As the raging fires continue to burn their way through Greater Los Angeles, more celebrities have been forced to flee their homes.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is among the latest group evacuating to escape the deadly flames. The Palisades Fire is still burning out of control, destroying everything in its path.
Pushed by the 100 mph Santa Ana winds and low humidity, the multiple fires began on January 7. Now a week later, at least 24 people are dead, and over 12,000 structures burned.
Teddi Mellencamp and her kids went to the desert
Teddi shared a selfie (no longer available) on her Instagram account to reassure her concerned followers that she was safe. The accountability coach recently shared on social media about her “raging anxiety,” and this situation surely doesn’t help.
“Thanks everyone for checking in,” she captioned the photo of herself. “Our street is closed and most likely schools next week.” I thought Teddi was living at BFF Kyle Richards’ house.
She told her followers that she was “off to the [desert]” with her kids (son Cruz, 10, and daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4), because the “Santa Ana winds are coming.”
Later, the Diamonds in the Rough podcaster shared a photo of a blocked intersection, while clouds of smoke billowed in the background. “All roads blocked to my house,” she captioned the snap. “Tried to pick up a couple things. Nope.”
That evening, she shared a video posted by her estranged husband, Skyline Security Management founder Edwin Arroyave, of the night sky near their home. The darkness glowed with the red and orange light of the fire burning in the distance.
She also shared a clip of her three children and her dog at the luxurious Pendry West Hollywood hotel on the Sunset Strip. I hope they didn’t stay there long because I understand that area’s now on fire also. Stay safe, Teddi and kids!
