Signing up for Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test wasn’t an easy decision for Denise Richards. She had her kids in her ear expressing legitimate concerns about her safety. Meanwhile, Denise was worried about one huge thing — the bathroom situation.
According to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, her biggest hesitation about doing the show was the fact that they didn’t have real bathrooms. Luckily, she ended up flexing her star power to get exactly what she wanted.
A toilet fit for a Housewife
Denise opened up about her extra-special bathroom request during a recent interview on the Almost Famous podcast. While dishing about Season 3 of the show, she said the regular bathrooms for the cast were like “outhouses,” but she needed something that would flush.
“I got us a toilet,” Denise said on the pod. “That is something I brought up when I was asked to do the show. I was like, ‘There is no freaking way, otherwise, I won’t go to the bathroom for the whole time. I am not going to sit next to someone on television and go potty.”
Denise said it took a couple of weeks for the Special Forces producers to get back to her, but somehow, they made it happen. They also tried to hide it from the rest of the cast so that Denise could do her business without being disturbed. However, she said that NFL player Cam Newton found the hidden bathroom and started using it, too.
Ultimately, all of this potty talk ended up being a big waste of time for everybody. Denise left the show during the Season 3 premiere. She jumped off a bridge, ruptured her breast implant, and had to withdraw from the competition to seek medical attention. She was hardly there long enough to even use her special toilet.
