Dorinda Medley isn’t so good with faces. At least, that was the case when she met Sam Asghari in person on The Traitors Season 3. She had no idea that Sam was Britney Spears’ ex-husband.
Dorinda has had an eventful few months since being cast on The Traitors. Before Season 3 even aired, she found herself in the middle of some crazy accusations from Lindsay Hubbard. Dorinda said the claims were 100 percent false.
Then, (SPOILER) once Season 3 rolled around, Dorinda was the first to be murdered. Despite her early elimination, she made some meaningful ties during her time on the show.
Why Dorinda Medley “was mothering” Sam Asghari on The Traitors
While on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Dorinda shared, “I had no idea who Sam was. I was advising him about how it is to go through a divorce and asked, ‘What does your wife do?’ and finally, [Britney Haynes is] like, ‘Dorinda, that is Britney Spears’ ex.’ I had no idea.”
She continued, “You know … I’m very good at being in this world and very good at being not in this world and I think that’s how I’ve kept my sanity all these years. I get very present in whatever I’m doing, so when I’m at Blue Stone Manor, it’s all about Blue Stone Manor. When I’m at SiriusXM, I’m not a person that sits there and reads every tweet and goes through everything.”
But despite the awkward introduction, Dorinda and Sam developed quite a relationship. “I was mothering him ’cause that’s what I naturally do. You know, I love to mother. I love to cook for people, take care of them, work them through their problems. That’s what comes very naturally to me.”
