The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 finale did not disappoint. Earlier in the season, Whitney Rose learned that there were rumors that she was allegedly stealing designs from Alibaba and using them for her jewelry line. At first, Whitney believed that Meredith Marks spread the rumors. However, after speaking with a podcaster, she focused on Lisa Barlow. Of course, Lisa denied Whitney’s accusations. So, looking for some receipts, Whitney asked a familiar face for the dirt on Lisa. Enter Monica Garcia.
Whitney Rose contacted Monica Garcia because she was “called a liar”
During the RHOSLC Season 5 finale, Whitney also confronted Lisa about giving stories to the troll account, Reality Von Tease. The Season 4 finale ended with Heather Gay exposing Monica for being part of that account. Then, Monica was pink-slipped ahead of the fifth season.
When asked how she knew this about Lisa, Whitney responded, “I reached out to Monica [Garcia]. In her confessional, Heather stated, “What level of desperation and paranoia led you to think that that was a good move, that that would somehow strengthen your case to go to the one person that has the least credibility about any of us?” Welp, Heather has a good point.
“I reached out to her out of desperation,” Whitney explained, “because I was so sad to be called a liar. She said that she had proof that Lisa fed information to press outlets. She told me how you would work with Reality Von Tease,” Whitney added.
Of course, Lisa fired back. “That’s a f*cking lie! You make up sh*t,” she exclaimed. Still, Whitney insisted that Meredith and Lisa “put me in a f*cking corner to feel like I have to prove myself.”
And, some support came from an unlikely source. “You guys get mad at people and you gang up on them. You make people do things in despair,” Mary Cosby stated. “I’ve been there.”
Finally, Heather pointed out that the entire group was guilty of judging each other. “All I heard this whole night is, ‘I want to prove you as a bad friend. I want to prove you as a bad friend. I want to prove you as a bad friend,’” she said. “We thought we got rid of the problem last year, but we didn’t.” However, Heather’s group exercise to release negative feelings and thoughts resulted in an avalanche of fury between Lisa, Whitney, and Angie Katsanevas.
