Bravo’s Camelot has fallen. Paige DeSorbo announced her split from Craig Conover after three years of dating. The Bravo universe was devastated.
In many ways, Paige and Craig were the quintessential couple of the channel’s current era. They met and fell in love on the crossover series Winter House. Then, they continued to navigate their long-distance relationship on both Summer House and Southern Charm. In the meantime, they delighted fans with appearances at BravoCon and on Watch What Happens Live. Now, however, Bravo needs to crown a new Royal couple. We have some suggestions…
Bravo’s own Melissa and Joe Gorga
Real Housewives of New Jersey is still on pause, but Melissa and Joe Gorga are Bravo royalty no matter what. Plus, they already have a few advantages over Paige and Craig. For instance, Erika Jayne surely knows who Melissa and Joe are.
Since the couple joined RHONJ way back in Season 3, they have fans who have been invested in the very good-looking Bravo couple’s journey for years. This past year, they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
Like Paige, Melissa Gorga has a strong sense of personal style. Not to mention, years of iconic quotes. She never stops working, and recently launched her own line of sprinkle cookies. Which is a perfect way to cash in on the RHONJ iconic Christmas moment. Meanwhile, Joe is his wife’s biggest fan, recently saying other Real Housewives should credit Melissa for paving the way. Their feud with his sister Teresa Giudice is ongoing, but the Gorgas have plenty of viewers and Bravolebs on their side.
New-ish Bravo stars Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley
In my opinion, Southern Hospitality should be considered the future of Bravo. It’s the heir apparent to Vanderpump Rules. Its drama crosses over with Summer House, Southern Charm, and classic RHONY. VPR is getting a full reboot, and Summer House could potentially get one too. But Southern Hospitality brings the messy youthful drama those shows did at the heights of their glory days.
This season, the central couple is Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley. After pining for Maddi for two seasons, Joe is finally dating her for real in Season 3. In the premiere, this couple gave us an all-time great scene when Joe let Maddi’s balloons fly away. As we know from the trailer, they quickly take the next step. As in, they got married in Vegas. These crazy kids are nothing if not entertaining!
Angie Katsanevas and Shawn Trujillo
Angie Katsanevas is the new Real Housewives of Salt Lake City queen. From the first episode of Season 5, she’s proved why she earned the center snowflake. And husband Shawn is her partner in crime. This couple stays strong no matter the rumors and nastiness Meredith Marks tries to pit against them. They even made their anniversary party a Greek Mafia theme! This season, Shawn earned extra points from fans for the way he stood up for himself against Meredith and Seth Marks. Of course, it helped that he kept his composure as Seth yelled, “Proof, BIOTCH!”
Additionally, we love this Bravo couple’s presence on social media. Not every Real Househusband would put on a wig as Angie recreated her “high body count hair” moment. But Shawn played the role of Brittani perfectly. Plus, we’re all obsessed with their hairstyles over the years, some of which Angie posted on Instagram for his birthday.
RHOP’s Wendy and Eddie Osefo
Like Angie, I have to crown Wendy Osefo the new queen of her Real Housewives city. Maybe even the new Grand Dame, since Karen Huger may not return to Real Housewives of Potomac after her DUI fallout. After all, we did spend a considerable amount of time on her birthday celebrations this season. And she was able to put aside her differences with Gizelle Bryant. It’s been great watching those two get along this year.
Wendy is gorgeous, witty, and super accomplished. Together with her handsome husband Eddie Osefo, they make for one of Bravo’s hottest couples. RHOP viewers love to see Eddie support his wife. As he did this season when Wendy made the bold move of resigning from her role as professor. Eddie also earned points for the way they responded to chatter that he was “smiling too much.” At the time, a beautifully confident Wendy said that of course, Eddie was happy, because he was with her. Also, Eddie cashed in by creating a Happy Eddie cannabis line.
Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Yawn and Leah Shafer
If Captain Sandy isn’t Bravo royalty, then I don’t know who is! In this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, Sandy proposed to her longtime love Leah Shafer. Watching the proposal on the Season 9 finale made BDM viewers very emotional.
Also emotional? Sandy herself! The usually unflappable Sandy admitted she was very nervous about the proposal. As she said, we never usually see this side of Sandy on the show. But she couldn’t hold back as she beamed with love for Leah. I’m getting verklempt just remembering it! Maybe we’ll get to see the wedding on a future Below Deck Med season?
