Even though some have complained that Season 15 of the Real Housewives of New York has been boring, I think the ladies did well to entertain us. Between the multiple pigeons, Ubah Hassan’s tantrums, and a plethora of pranks, the Big Apple cast pulled out all the stops. Now the reunion looks have dropped and it looks like the theme was Snow White’s evil stepmother. So, who wore it best? Let’s take a look.
1. Sai De Silva
I’m a sucker for a good ball gown. Sai De Silva has taken the win at the Real Housewives of New York reunion thanks to her Cinderella-inspired dress. Christopher John Rogers designed the dark black dress with sophistication in mind. The v-neck and fitted waist emphasized Sai’s petite frame perfectly. Roger Vivier made her heels to match, and Daniel Gaines styled her. The mother of two donned tear-drop earrings, which had her looking like a million bucks.
For me, Sai is number one and easily could have been the evil queen in any Disney movie because, as you know, the queen was always very stylish. According to Sai, “The inspiration and vibe of this look is a mix of modern elegance and dramatic sophistication.” She told Bravo “The sleeveless, tailored top with lapels gives the look a modern twist, blending masculine tailoring with feminine drama.“
2. Jessel Taank
Jessel Taank is the “glamazon” I didn’t know I needed to see at the reunion. While she still might find it hard to stand up for herself this look indeed sends a message. Her dress by Maticevski was an architectural delight. The gown hugged the mom of twins in all the right places. The off-the-shoulder look was completed with a blunt bob in an effortless style by Patricia Black.
Not to stray too far from a designer name, her shoes were Yves Saint Laurent. When asked about her look, Jessel noted, “We’re going for haute couture, something super chic.” And let me just say kudos to Jessel for achieving that look. She added, “We’re thinking European. I cut my hair short, so we’re thinking of this little French bob situation. And I have a gorgeous dress that’s by a Russian designer.”
3. Racquel Chevremont
I love everything about Racquel Chevremont’s look, and I’m sad I can only have her in the bronze position. The former model had a superb rookie year, and she showed up to win at the reunion. The short Carolina Herrera stunned with its black and white pallet. With splotches of gold and Yves Saint Laurent shoes to match, Racquel shined. The mother of two wore her hair in a stunning updo with her makeup looking dewy and fresh. Racquel shared, “The reason I chose this dress is because it reminded me of Warhol Pop Art Flower paintings.” The newest RHONY star added, “The elegance of Carolina Herrera combined with a pop art aesthetic. The irregular cut of the bodice further adds to its artistic expression.”
4. Erin Lichy
I love glitter, and Erin Lichy is bringing me right back to 2010 when Kesha was all the rage. Now, some of you might be snickering, but I mean this as the highest compliment. Her long-sleeved, high-neck dress made by Bottega was perfect for showing off her growing baby bump. Erin wore her hair down, which is always a great choice in my book, and her makeup was like that of a goddess. I’m not far off with my comparison, as Erin shared she opted for a “Mother Earth glam with glowing goddess wardrobe.” She added, “I’m feeling very primal, so I’m gonna really let sh*t unleash today, but I’m gonna be nice while I do it just like Mother Earth does. It’s gonna be very ethereal.” Honestly, it’s about time Erin had her say since this season, she is often pushed around like a puppet.
5. Jenna Lyons
I’m not exactly sure what Jenna Lyons was thinking when it came to her reunion look. I know she was executive creative director at J.Crew, but this luxury bathroom theme isn’t hitting it for me. It’s either genius or a miss, but I am sure she will have the fans split right down the middle. If anything the look is giving bathrobe chic. And even though it is a Balenciaga, it seems pretty plain. However, I am in love with her black Louboutin heels with the diamond accents. Just classic. She stunned in classic diamond earrings by de Deers and still claimed the title of minimalist as she did at the last Real Housewives of New York reunion. Jenna told Bravo, “I just wanted to do something unexpected and playful. I can’t compete in the sexy dress category!”
6. Ubah Hassan
I’m going to be honest here. There wasn’t a lot I liked about Ubah’s reunion look. I will say her hair was perfect. Her long black sparkle dress styled by Arnold Milfort was just boring. There was no excitement to it except the leg split. However, she accessorized well. I loved her chunky gold bracelets.
Her shoes were anything but plain and definitely gave her extra height to tower over the ladies. According to Ubah, she didn’t panic about her outfit choice. She told Bravo, “I actually got my dress last night at 9 pm. My stylist came and he had all these clothes, and I tried one outfit and said, ‘I’m done.’ I’m actually shocked that with one outfit I said, ‘I’m done, I don’t want to look at anything else.'” The model added that she was going for an “effortless stunning” look.
7. Brynn Whitfield
I can’t help but feel that Brynn Whitfield is trying to channel her inner Blanche Devereaux from the famed Golden Girls. The dress is from Taller Marmo and sparkles in gold. Though I would say she is wearing more of a house dress than an evening gown to this tell-all. Amina Muaddi makes her clear shoes, and the look was pulled together with help from her stylist, Amber Rose. Brynn’s long bob was styled into chunky pin curls, which highlighted the bone structure of her face. If I didn’t know any better, I would say she is the spitting image of Meghan Markle as she donned Tiffany & Co. jewelry to complete the look. Brynn loves her look, telling Bravo, “Today I’m going for Zsa Zsa Gabor. We share the same birthday almost, so I’m gonna be very Zsa Zsa. Lots of feathers — no pigeons!”
The Real Housewives of New York is available to stream on Peacock.
