Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 15. Last week, the cast trip to Panama ended with a scandalous smooch when Ashley decided to make a move on Mia’s number-one sidekick, Jacqueline. More drama was afoot when Keiarna found out that Deborah was countersuing her for $7 million. Oop. Some issues were resolved, however. Mia apologized to Gizelle (on camera!) for talking about her daughters. Things were finally moving in the right direction … for now. Here’s what happened in RHOP Season 9, Episode 15: “Old Rumors, Die Hard.”
What happened in Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 15?
There are always two sides to every story; this time, the husbands shared theirs. Gordon cleared the air with Ray regarding the drama with Mia. And his side did not align with hers. Meanwhile, Stacey crossed her fingers and toes that waiving child support was the right thing to do. TJ also pushed for more access to Stacey’s life, but she wasn’t ready just yet. Then things went awry at Ashley’s Drag King show when Karen confronted Mia with the news from Gordon. The group was left wondering whose side to believe … Gordon’s or Mia’s?
Keiarna is no Stepford wife on Real Housewives of Potomac
It was only a few episodes ago that Ashley performed her “Healing and Thriving” song to mixed reviews. Now she was getting ready to perform as a drag king named “Ashton” instead. So, she met up with King Molasses for some pointers. She explained her look was going to be all business, Patrick Bateman style. Ashley also invited her new man, Josh, to the show. She said, “If Josh can come and watch me don my full-on beard and still find me attractive and wanna bang me, I may have met my match.”
Meanwhile, Gizelle and Wendy met up with Keiarna at her spa. After Wendy’s flat tire debacle, the ladies discussed Keiarna and Greg’s relationship. Gizelle wondered if the name of her spa would change to Greg’s last name once they got married. Keiarna said she wanted to hyphenate her last name, but Greg wouldn’t let her. The group agreed that Greg needed to respect Keiarna. She wasn’t the 1950s housewife he seemed to want her to be.
The topic then changed to Karen and her weight. Both Wendy and Gizelle were convinced she looked thinner due to stress from the DUI charges. However, Keiarna said it was all Ozempic, the not-so-secret secret of the Real Housewives. Gizelle said, “Here I am thinking Karen is stressed out because she’s about to go to the clinker for running into a tree. No, you are taking shots in the butt!”
Ray and Gordon spill some serious tea
Who knew Ray and Gordon were such a dynamic duo? The two buddies met up for lunch and discussed their relationships. Ray noted that Karen wasn’t worried about her DUI charges. He said, “She thinks she’ll be exonerated of everything. She’s already got another car.” Welp, Karen got that prediction wrong.
Ray also told a story about when Karen was pregnant. She told him, “Sometimes I have like blue eyes and gray eyes in my family.” Cut to Andy asking about the “blue-eyed man” during the reunion, to which Ray promptly shut down.
Gordon then cleared the air about Panama. He said Mia had made some “questionable decisions” regarding the kids, so he picked them up. And he watches them the majority of the time. Which did not align with Mia’s full custody story.
He also admitted he got a paternity test and confirmed he was their son’s father. There was no more doubt if it was him or Inc any longer. Gordon also added that despite all the drama, it made him “take a real good hard look at myself and what I need to do to be a better person with my bipolar.” Good on you, Gordon!
Stacey was gambling on some goodwill
The countdown to divorce was inching ever closer for Stacey. And after her surprising mediation session, she decided to meet with an attorney to ensure her best interests were protected. Alarm bells went off for the lawyer when Stacey said she was going to waive child support. She was certain her ex would take care of their daughter. But was this a risk worth taking?
Later she met up with TJ for some tacos at a rooftop restaurant. TJ didn’t wait long to air his grievances about their relationship. He felt they didn’t do anything as a couple and that she was hiding him. This is odd because all TJ has done is deny they are a couple. Stacey said in her confessional, “I can’t move any faster just because TJ wants me to.”
Thankfully, TJ changed his tune and admitted he didn’t want her to feel pressured. Stacey said, “I just want to continue loving each other and being best friends, and let’s just see what happens. I know he’ll wait for me.” Afterward, she told TJ he was amazing, to which he quipped, “I know.” Always appreciate a Han Solo reference!
Karen and Gizelle call out Mia
Ray spilled all the tea to Karen about his lunch with Gordon. Karen was shocked that Mia supposedly knew about the paternity test and why Gordon had taken the kids. She said, “The fact that you knew about this some time ago … and you’re not going to give them the truth? It actually tells me everything I’ve been thinking. You’re a liar.” Eesh.
But before Karen could have a goss sesh, Gizelle had a bone to pick. At Ashley’s drag show, Gizelle told Karen she and Wendy had been worried about her until Keiarna told them she was using Ozempic. The Grande Dame quickly pivoted to being pre-diabetic to ward off any suspicion. It didn’t work, but Karen had bigger fish to fry. She pulled Gizelle aside and filled her in.
Gizelle said, “Why am I just now finding this out? Like, there’s no boundaries with Mia. There’s no right and wrong with Mia. And I used to tell Karen, ‘That’s not true; you’re going too far,’ but it is true.” She marched back over to Mia and accused her of lying to the group. Mia deflected and went after Karen about her DUI charges and allegedly cheating on Ray. Gizelle waved it off as old news.
Karen then confronted Mia with everything Ray had told her regarding the paternity test and Gordon taking the kids while she was in Panama. Jacqueline jumped in to defend her, but it was too late. Mia walked off, offended that the group had chosen to believe Gordon over her. TO BE CONTINUED …
