On Season 3 of The Traitors, we’ve been watching Chrishell Stause stay cool, calm, and collected as she navigates the twists and turns of the game. In real life, it’s a different story. Like many Los Angelenos, she was directly impacted by the devastating wildfires. When the danger came to her doorstep, she froze up, and that’s a feeling that’s been hard for her to shake.
Chrishell recently sat down on the Sherri show and opened up about her experience with the wildfires. According to the Selling Sunset star, a traumatic childhood experience made this situation even scarier. Fortunately, she had her partner G-Flip to get through it.
How G-Flip helped Chrishell Stause stay cool under pressure
Thankfully, Chrishell’s home is still standing. There are plenty of others who can’t say the same, and the Selling Sunset star said she’s working with the Oppnheim Group to help speed up the rebuilding process.
“I’m gonna be honest. The devastation is on a level where it is going to take time,” she said. “But we are lobbying to try and make things go quicker than normal.”
When reflecting on her own experience with the wildfire, Chrishell said there was a fire right in her backyard. She and G-Flip had to evacuate “immediately,” but Chrishell couldn’t move.
“I just got frozen in fear,” Chrishell recalled.
“When I was 12, I did watch my house burn down, but that’s something you don’t think about. It happened so long ago,” she continued.
That’s when G-Flip sprung into action. The Australian musician, who married Chrishell in a secret wedding in 2023, got the couple prepared to evacuate. With little time to spare, Chrishell said G-Flip was instrumental in keeping them safe.
“They are so amazing. They basically were like, okay, and just started running me through the things,” she recalled.
“You don’t know how you’re gonna react,” Chrishell continued. “I think I would’ve liked to have thought I’m good in an emergency case. But this kinda showed me, I really needed a little kick in the butt, and G was there to keep me focused and so it was just nice to have them.”
The Traitors is currently streaming on Peacock.
