The more we learn about TJ Dinch and Joe Bradley’s relationship, the more confusing it gets. In Southern Hospitality Season 2, TJ confessed that he was “in love” with his straight friend after getting mixed signals. Meanwhile, Joe was busy hooking up with a Real Housewife.
In Season 3, the plot has thickened. The boys just revealed a surprising moment they shared in TJ’s bed in the latest episode Now, we’ve got even more questions about this down-south bromance.
What happened between Joe Bradley and TJ Dinch?
Rumors about Joe’s sexuality have been floating around King Street for a minute. Maddi Reese admitted that those lingering questions were just some of the reasons why their romance took so long to kick off. During Southern Hospitality Season 3, Episode 3, a producer tried to get to the bottom of a specific story about him and TJ from three years ago.
When they pressed TJ about the rumor, he turned the question back around and told them to ask Joe about what happened. Of course, Joe spilled all of the tea.
“Basically, one night I slept over at TJ’s house, and I slept in his bed with him,” Joe revealed. “Maybe I’m used to sleeping in a bed with a girl, and I was blacked out, and I’m a cuddler.”
He continued, “Maybe I grabbed you like I would grab the girl I was hooking up with at the time.”
This is a lot of drama over a cuddle, but according to TJ, it was a turning point for their friendship. From that moment forward, he started to question the dynamics of their relationship. Looking back on it, TJ thinks Joe knew exactly what he was doing.
“I think that Joe always knew that I was in love with him, and he almost used that as a little bit of control in our friendship,” TJ concluded.
