Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has brought Kyle Richards another fiery feud. This time, it is Dorit Kemsley who won’t back down. This is an unfortunate development since both ladies are currently separated from their husbands. Meanwhile, RHOBH alum Kathryn Edwards weighed in on Kyle and Mauricio Umansky’s split.
Kathryn Edwards said that Kyle Richards “looks happy”
As you may recall, Kathryn was a one-and-done housewife. She appeared on Season 6 with newbie Erika Jayne. Recently, Kathryn appeared on the podcast, Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef. And she discussed Kyle’s separation and her close friendship with country singer Morgan Wade. “I don’t know anything about her and Morgan. And then when [she] and Mauricio, you know, announced the divorce I thought, ‘Do I send her a message, like I’m sorry to hear that?’” Kathryn remarked. Technically, Mauricio and Kyle are separated, not divorced.
She continued, “You know, because I really like her, and I like him. And then I thought – and there was already the Morgan stuff that was coming out at the same time. And it felt to me … I don’t ever want to be … I’m not the friend that ever wants to like to be in the gossip. Like that wasn’t the purpose.”
Kathryn added, “And I felt like if I couldn’t pick up the phone or say something out of genuine friendship, that didn’t feel like … I think that’s a hard road to go down.” It could certainly be awkward since Kyle has been pretty tight-lipped about what happened to cause her marital strife. While Morgan made some appearances last season, during Season 14 of RHOBH, Kyle refused to mention Morgan’s name.
“I don’t know. I just, she’s a nice person… and I think she looks happy to me,” Kathryn stated. Hopefully, both Kyle and Mauricio will be happy as they decide what their next chapter will be.
