Real Housewives of New York alum Dorinda Medley is best known for her fabulous mansion in The Berkshires, Bluestone Manor. Many iconic RHONY moments have happened there. Plus, the second season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip was filmed there. As usual, Dorinda made it extra nice with plenty of house rules and an 80’s – themed aerobics class. So, viewers were excited to see Dorinda compete in The Traitors. While her stay may have been brief, she was fully prepped by her daughter, Hannah Lynch. And Dorinda was ready to take down any adversary.
Dorinda Medley studied like she was “going to war”
Dorinda was the Traitor’s first kill. Her argument with Lord Ivar Mountbatten sealed her fate. The devious Traitors murdered Dorinda to frame Ivar.
Meanwhile, Dorinda was floored, and the decision disappointed many fans. “I cried my eyes out!” she said. Poor Dorinda!
Well, when Dorinda was a guest on The Tonight Show, she told host Jimmy Fallon how she prepared for the competition. “I prepared like I was really going to war. I read The Art of War twice and took notes,” she stated. “Not the Cliff Notes, I actually read it. I studied philosophers like Nietzsche.”
Filming The Traitors in Scotland was a homecoming for Dorinda. She lived there with Ralph Lynch, her first husband. “My daughter is the product of a Scottish marriage,” Dorinda said. She added that her daughter, Hannah, assisted in preps.
“Hannah, who’s a big academic – she’s at Harvard,” Dorinda explained. “She’s writing all these strategies and putting me through these scenarios. When I got into my room, I had Scotch tape, and I put all these poster boards up of all my strategies each day.”
Dorinda continued, “So I was so ready to kill it, literally. I went in as lady of the manor and I was like, ‘I’m going to be queen of this castle. I’m so here.'”
“And then you had to take the poster board down the same day,” Jimmy quipped. It’s too soon, Jimmy! Dorinda responded, “No, but I was really close.”
I wish that we had a chance to see Dorinda play the game. So, if she was asked, would Dorinda appear on The Traitors again? “In a second,” Dorinda said. “It’s a great experience. Totally different from Housewives. But it’s a great experience.”
