Is Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger using Ozempic? That’s the latest question for Karen, who has had quite a dramatic season so far. Season 9 kickstarted with a reenactment of the night she was charged with a DUI. And these charges have lingered throughout the rest of the season, which naturally caused stress for Karen. This in turn made the cast worried about her when they noticed Karen was looking a bit thinner than normal. But was it from stress or Ozempic?
Karen Huger admitted she used “Semaglutide” because she is “pre-diabetic”
The topic of Ozempic came up during Episode 15. Karen’s frenemy, Gizelle Bryant, and Wendy Osefo were concerned about Karen’s weight loss. The two assumed it was due to stress from the DUI charges.
But newbie Keiarna Stewart had the tea. Gizelle and Wendy had met up with Keiarna at her spa when the topic of Karen’s thinner-than-normal frame came up. They immediately clocked it from stress. But Keiarna shocked the ladies when she said it was from Ozempic instead. But was it true?
This led Gizelle to confront Karen about it during Ashley Darby’s Drag King show. Gizelle said, “Here I am thinking Karen is stressed out because she’s about to go to the clinker for running into a tree. No, you are taking shots in the butt!”
Karen was caught off guard, but she had her answer. She responded, “Everyone in my family is diabetic. So, I am pre-diabetic. And I am on semaglutide.” Then Keiarna jumped in to confirm that indeed semaglutide is the same thing. She stated, “Semaglutide is actually the active ingredient that’s inside Ozempic.”
Gizelle threw her hands up. She said, “So, it’s Ozempic.” And of course, Karen had an over-the-top answer for her. She responded, “Right. I don’t want diabetes. People lose their limbs. People lose everything.” Gizelle countered back, “Karen, that’s fine, I love that. But don’t have me thinking that you’re not eating. And you’re stressed out.”
Kudos to Karen for being open about the situation. She has enough on her plate to worry about than drama related to Ozempic.
