Ally Lewber just officially confirmed her split from James Kennedy. On top of that, the Vanderpump Rules star gave a few more details on the circumstances around James’ recent arrest.
A lot of details about the arrest remain private, even after the arrest logs were made public. Of course, if Ally wants those details to remain private, then no one should have a problem honoring that desire. But fans couldn’t help but wonder about the relationship.
By all accounts, it seemed that Ally and James had split. However, some reports suggested just the opposite, even as fans saw Ally moving belongings out of her old residence. Now, it’s nice to have a voice of confirmation. So, what did Ally say specifically?
Ally Lewber says she never wanted James Kennedy to face criminal charges
On January 22, Ally posted an important update to her IG Story. “Thank you all for your support and kindness,” she wrote. “I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges.” For those who didn’t hear, James will face no charges for his DV arrest.
Ally continued, “We had an argument outside of his home related to him drinking again, however, I was not physically hurt. I was shocked by the headlines and disheartened by how the event was portrayed. We are no longer together, but I’ll always support James and wish him the best with his sobriety and healing.”
She concluded her statement by thanking her followers for their “understanding.” Some space for Ally would be ideal right now. Notably, in James’ own statement following his arrest, he also mentioned his desire to work on his sobriety. Here’s hoping Ally’s level-headed statement will help him in his efforts.
