The news around James Kennedy and Ally Lewber continues to unfold. Amid all the reports around the Vanderpump Rules alum’s domestic violence arrest, his lawyer has now confirmed that he will face no charges.
On December 10, 2024, James faced a misdemeanor domestic violence arrest. The arrest log claimed that he picked a woman up and threw her to the ground. Shortly after the arrest, James made a statement via Instagram. “I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life. I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones.”
He further wrote, “Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.” Now, James can continue his growth free of criminal charges. As it turns out, the news even pleased Ally.
James Kennedy faces no charges; his lawyer and Ally Lewber release statements
On January 22, James’s attorney, Scott Leemon, shared a statement with Us Weekly. “I was just informed by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office that no charges will be filed against James Kennedy,” Leemon wrote. “I want to thank them for conducting a thorough and professional review of the matter, involving my client.”
Additionally, Leemon wrote, “Their diligent investigation confirmed what we have maintained from the beginning — there were no grounds for any charges to be filed against Mr. Kennedy. James is grateful to have this matter behind him and is looking forward to continuing to focus on his sobriety and his DJ career.”
Ally responded to the news with a statement on Instagram. She confirmed that she and James had officially broken up, but she still wished him the best. “I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James,” she wrote. “I never desired criminal charges.” Here’s hoping Ally gets everything she deserves. She has some high hopes for the new year.
