Denise Fuoco, Natalie’s mother, initially spoke out about Natalie’s case after the Mob Wives star missed a flight home from Philadelphia to Florida. According to Denise, Natalie seemed “distressed” during their last FaceTime call. She rushed off the phone before going dark.
A few days later, a friend of Natalie’s told her family that she was in Las Vegas. Allegedly, Natalie asked the friend to buy her a plane ticket back to Florida. She was a no-show for that flight as well, prompting her loved ones to file a missing-person report.
On Wednesday, January 22, Denise shared an update with NBC News that her daughter had been located in Nevada. She just doesn’t know what she’s been doing or why she’s there.
“My daughter’s been found,” mother Denise told the outlet. “She’s fine right now. We’re trying to get her home.”
According to Natalie’s sister, the family is still confused about how she wound up in Las Vegas. No one knew she was going there, and they didn’t know she knew anyone there. Additionally, Denise said that the Mob Wives alum wasn’t answering questions about where she’s been.
“No, she didn’t really want to talk about it,” Denise said. “I didn’t push anything, because I’m pretty sure she might hang up.”
Interestingly, Denise spoke to TMZ in a separate interview and claimed that Natalie had her handbag and ID stolen. Whether or not that has anything to do with her missing the flight home to Florida remains unclear. The important thing is that she’s safe and sound.
