The breakup between Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo just got real.
Less than a month after the two Bravo stars ended their three-year relationship, Craig has unfollowed Paige on Instagram. She’s still following him at the moment, but we’ll see how long that continues.
Paige DeSorbo denied Bravo controlled anything about the split
On a December 2024 episode of her and Hannah Berner’s podcast, The Giggly Squad, Paige explained her feelings about Craig.
“I love him, I think he loves me,” the Summer House star said at the time. “I think we will remain friends. No one did anything … I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want … That’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.”
Paige hoped to remain on friendly terms with her Southern Charm ex, saying, “I have so much love and respect for Craig … I will remain the biggest fan for him and want the best for him … because he is the best. But, with that said, I think it is the right decision for both of us.”
At the time of the split, there were whispers that Bravo had controlled the timing of the couple’s announcement. But Paige denied that Andy Cohen had any involvement in the decision, other than expressing his thoughts about possible reasons for the split.
“No one can tell me what to do,” she clarified. “The network has power, but they don’t have that much power.”
“Rumors of us breaking up months ago was also not a real thing,” she continued. “Our first rumor was that we were in a PR relationship. So we’ve been with these rumors our whole relationship, and we didn’t really give it a second thought.”
Craig Conover wanted more than a long-distance relationship
For his part, Craig wasn’t talking much about the breakup with his beloved “Chicken.”
“[It happened] right before the holidays,” he finally wrote on his Instagram Stories. “I was very shocked … It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff.”
Viewers of both shows had seen the couple go back and forth regarding their future. Craig was eager to take the next step, to get married and start a family. He remodeled a house in Charleston, creating a family home for the couple. He even froze his sperm in preparation for eventual fatherhood.
But Paige loves her life in New York and couldn’t imagine ever moving to Charleston on a permanent basis, even though Craig’s business is based there. The writing was on the wall.
“We spend as much time as we can together,” Craig said in October 2024. “We’re in a great place and, fortunately, New York and Charleston are two awesome places to spend time. We just got to put the work in.”
And it seemed to work for them. Until it didn’t.
