Real Housewives of New York Season 16 might surprise us with a new face or two. Or, alternatively, RHONY Season 16 might even surprise us with a familiar face or two.
Season 15 didn’t quite turn out as Bravo might’ve hoped. It was no secret that ratings declined after Season 14. Andy Cohen stood by the new stars and shared how much he believed in the rebooted cast.
Despite Andy’s faith, viewers perceived a decline in quality. It didn’t help that some of the most high-profile viewers made their criticism all too clear. So, RHONY might be in for a change or two.
Fans want familiar faces on RHONY
On January 27, the @shedcasting Instagram page made a post calling for RHONY auditions. The post’s caption read, “It’s that time…?come and get your apple.” Now, before we spiral into theories, there are a few things we should keep in mind.
For one thing, just because RHONY is apparently casting newbies, that doesn’t mean anybody is losing their job. For all we know, all of the main cast members might return for Season 16, along with a new face. Of course, it’s certainly still possible that we lose one of the main Season 15 cast members.
Fans who saw the Instagram post had suggestions ready to go, all in the form of familiar faces. “It’s time… Lindsay Hubbard should be holding an apple,” one commenter wrote. Lindsay recently pitched herself for RHONY, and the fans are seemingly on board.
Another fan suggested former cast members Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Dorinda Medley. That would be interesting for multiple reasons, but in particular because Sonja reportedly doesn’t talk much with her former castmates.
But while Shed looks to the future, every past season of Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
