Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley bonded with newbie Bozoma Saint John from the jump. This duo has an authentic connection. Dorit felt that she finally had a real friend who had her back. And now, Dorit is sharing what happened the day that she and her husband, PK Kemsley, separated. And another person was involved: PK’s sponsor.
Dorit Kemsley was “totally blindsided” by PK Kemsley’s desire to separate
During a recent episode of RHOBH, Dorit explained the circumstances of how she and PK separated. “The day PK and I decided to separate was him, his sponsor, and myself in our backyard – and his sponsor was doing the talking. His sponsor’s the one who suggested that we take some time apart and separate,” Dorit explained in her confessional. “I was so taken aback, I didn’t ask whether this was PK’s idea or whether the sponsor actually thought it was a good idea and PK was just going along with it.” She added, “I still don’t know.” Now, that is an important question to ask your husband, Dorit.
Recently, Dorit shared more about that day on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. She admitted that she was “totally blindsided” by PK’s decision. Boz asked, “Why did his sponsor need to say it?”
Dorit replied, “Well, he sort of said it like, ‘I think the best thing for you guys is to take some time apart.'” Naturally, Boz didn’t accept that because she suffers no fools. “Girl, with all due respect, the sponsor is supposed to advise him on his sobriety, OK? Now, you enter our sacred marriage? And you want to tell me what we should do?” Boz remarked. “Oh, absolutely not.” I mean, Boz is the voice of reason.

However, Dorit did explain that she and PK had used the word “separation” before. In fact, this was like “the 700th” time. “It was thrown around so easily and so quickly that it lost its strength,” Dorit said. Then she brought up the two children that she shares with PK. “It’s a huge decision. There are children involved,” Dorit stated. “It would’ve been nice to have been included in the decision.”
I am stunned that Dorit didn’t ask PK if it was his idea. If it was, he should have brought it up. If I were Dorit, I’d be looking at divorce attorneys. It seems like PK has already abandoned this marriage.
