There hasn’t been a moment that I haven’t enjoyed watching Sutton Stracke on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Between her meltdowns and come-to-Jesus moments, the mother of two really delivers. Even though she can come across as a bit cooky, I think she has genuine connections to her cast members and only wants the best for them. So, if I were looking for a new best friend, Sutton would be at the top of my list.
Sutton Stracke holds her friends accountable
During the most recent episode fans watched as Sutton spilled the beans on Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s marriage. Now, I think most followers had already suspected The Agency owner of infidelity, but the Georgia Peach solidified the rumors, much to Kyle’s chagrin. Kyle looked livid while sipping nonalcoholic iced tea, but I think Sutton was doing what any good friend does. She was trying to have Kyle live in her truth. For over a year, Kyle has been hiding the real reason for the separation. And honestly, you can’t expect your friends to keep lying for you. Someone will eventually mess up.
During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Sutton shared, “Sometimes things slip out of my mouth, and I did ask. I did. I remember we had previously talked about how, is it infidelity if you text someone on the Instagram? We’re also in this very nebulous stage in their separation. During a separation, when does it become OK to have a relationship with someone?” Even though Kyle has now put up walls around their friendship, I think that Sutton did what she believed to be the right thing, especially when talking to friends in a private setting.
Sutton Stracke is a girl’s girl
During a cast lunch, Sutton tried her best to bring the ladies of the show together. Mind you that is no easy feat, as this lunch also marked the big blowout between Kyle and Dorit Kemsley. The pact involved each cast member placing their hands in a tied ribbon. Imagine a scene out of Now and Then. Sutton then said, “Friendships are not perfect” and that they have “many ups and downs, twists and turns.” While a small ribbon won’t exactly mend fences, I appreciated the effort she put into reviving the relationships.
Sutton has a gift when it comes to words of affirmation, and I think she is one of the only women who tries to lift her friends. She is the first to dole out a piece of advice or show up with a catered lunch to gossip. Sutton is smart and takes the time to listen to mostly all the facts before delivering her judgment. Even though the women don’t always see it, Sutton is always out for the good of the group and never wants to leave a friend behind, which is admirable.
Sutton Stracke has genuine friendships with the ladies
They say that birds of a feather flock together. Now, I don’t think Sutton and Jennifer Tilly are best friends because both of them are unbelievably wealthy. It probably helps. But I think both share the same sense of wonder, and that is what bonds them. Sutton has no problem holding down years-long friendships. She and Jennifer have been best buddies since meeting ten years ago at a charity gala for ocean conservation. Sutton greatly supports her friends and has attended Jennifer’s events. She has even guest starred on her show Chucky.
What proves that Sutton is such a good friend is how the same feeling is reciprocated towards her. Jennifer stated during the season premiere that she is very watchful over Sutton. The actress noted, “Yes, I’m very protective of little Miss Sutton…because, you know, she gets all excited. She thinks Bumble is like a candy store. She’s like, ‘That one, that one, that one, that one.’ I’m like, ‘Sutton, no.” Personally, I wouldn’t mind having a friend like Sutton in my corner. She seems to be there when you need her most, and if her words of wisdom can’t fix that matter, her millions sure can.
