Parvati Shallow Reveals Three Reality Shows She’s Rejected: ‘I’m Doing a Good Job Picking’

No one can deny Parvati Shallow’s obvious talent for excelling in competition shows. She won Survivor: Micronesia, and competed on the series three more times. She donned a cloak in The Traitors and slaughtered Faithfuls. And right now, fans are watching Parvati on Deal or No Deal Island. So, how does Parvati decide which shows are up her alley?

If you think Parvati is jumping at every reality TV show opportunity, think again. “I don’t wanna do every reality show,” Parvati told US Weekly. “I just wanna do the ones that seem really fun to me.” She added, “I think I’m doing a good job picking.”

So, which shows didn’t make the cut? Parvati “turned down” Celebrity Big Brother, Amazon Prime’s The GOAT, and House of Villains on E!. Plus, after her time on Season 2 of The Traitors, Parvati decided to retire from competition shows.

“I unretired double time because I did Deal or No Deal Island and I did Australian Survivor vs. the World in one summer, back-to-back. There’s something that gets in my blood about these reality competition games,” Parvati stated. “Their peak experiences, their life-changing experiences, and who gets the opportunity to play them more than once? It feels like a blessing and a curse.”

Of course, Parvarti was swayed to appear on Deal or No Deal Island after watching fellow Survivor legend Boston Rob Mariano compete last season. “I loved watching Rob play. It was so fun,” she explained. “And then Joe Manganiello is the host. He’s perfect for the role. It’s on an exotic private island.” She continued, “It’s got a little Charlie’s Angels, a little Austin Powers, a little Survivor. A little game of intrigue. I was like, ‘I gotta play this game.’”

In addition, Parvati will compete on Season 11 of Australian Survivor, along with vets Tony Vlachos and Cirie Fields. According to Parvati, this will be her last time on Survivor. The series is set to premiere later in 2025.

Deal or No Deal Island continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
